Hey. I'm 14 years old. I'm concerned about weight problems. I'm only 5'2" and I'm 156 lbs. I guess since you're really sporty you can help me on this. Some people say I look fat and I can't help crying. I really want to look thin and I really need somebody to help me. Can you please tell me what to do?

Well, first of all you aren't fat and you shouldn't feel bad about it. If you want to loose a couple pounds you just need to eat healthy and exercise. You need to limit yourself from eating junk food. Eat it sparingly or maybe don't eat it at all. I know people can be tempted to not eat junk food sparingly, but just try to stay away from it. You need to eat healthy things. For school lunch, try some fruit and vegitables everyday and try to get the main food with the least fat in it. Also, in gym class, don't be the one who talks to friends instead of playing the game. Participating in gym can help a lot. While you are at home try not to stay on the computer all the time. Go outside once in a while maybe play some basketball on a neighbor's hoop. If you really want to be on the computer, every ten minutes of using it, try to go do 20 sit-ups or 10 push-ups and get back on. If you can follow these instructions and do even more healthy things than I told you to do, then you'll feel confident and proud of your body. But even now don't think that you need to lose 30 or more pounds. You are only 14 and if you lose that much weight it could stop your growing for a while and do other harmful things to you. Whatever you do, good luck and thank you for coming to me for advice. Hosta la bye bye! [ CDefense15's advice column | Ask CDefense15 A Question ]
