To be honest, of the bands you've mentioned, I've only heard of Green Day. I like Green Day's OLD stuff. As far as other bands go, I'm not sure if they're "alternative" or not, but I like Offspring, Savage Garden, and Red Hot Chili Peppers a BUNCH!!
I have recent pictures, yep. I usually alternate between a few. This is the longest I've ever left the same one up there. I need to change it. I went to take some more tonight, but the flash turned the entire picture white - that's a common problem with my camera. :( Good suggestion though, I'll work on that.
And about your link.. I find your advice to be very helpful. Your blunt and to the point, I like that. You just seem like an all around polite guy, and that's refreshing. (:
