If you cannot admit it, then you still are not ready to recover.
That is where you have 2 options. The first option is to go cold turkey, which means that you stop smoking forever. Really hard. The first 2 days are the worst. The 2nd is to get a patch, and follow their methods. A lot better.
But, you may not even have a problem. That's when you weight in what you value more. The feelings of being high or living past 50. I am not trying to be funny here, it is a real choice. Some people take the first, and that is perfectly acceptable. Others take the second.
Hope I helped!

TwinkleToes answered Monday August 22 2005, 3:59 pm: It takes discipline. I know. But recently, my grandmother died from emphacema ( a lung disease ) and that was because she smoked! I saw a picture of her lungs and it was GROSS. DON'T DO IT> I know it feels really good, but when you are in the hospital, you will regret it. To stop, what you should do is cut down gradually. Stopping all at once is hard. Limit your intake to like one cigarette every two days...after you've kept up you hard work, limit it to one cigarette a week...then once cigarette a month. Once you've been able to keep this up, you can eventually get rid of cigarettes!
