I've met this guy at the beginning of summer. His best friend & my best friend are together. I've only seen him once, the rest of the time we talk online/phone. I've never met anyone like him before and I'm really trying to get to know him, but he's mysterious and confusing. He's intelligent and funny which keeps my interest growing, but mixed signals are getting annoying. He says its too early to say if he likes me because we need to hang out again. I'm up for it but what can I do to let him know I'm interested & for him to let the mysterious bad boy phase go already.

You feel the rush and want things to move faster, but remember that a real mature relationship is achieved over time. It's not to say this guy may just be playing mind games on you, but the point is YOU are interested so be patient and stick it out. The worst that comes of this is that you may see him for the jerk he is and have only wasted your time, but if not, then you have a nice young man whom you've gotten to know pretty well and would make a good boyfriend. Always remember though that you should do what is good for you, don't do things so the guy would like you more. [ Susan's advice column | Ask Susan A Question ]
