heyy i was reading your advice column & you give really good advice! anyways i was wondering if you could give me tips on how to do my eyeliner? mine always comes off after like 30 minutes. also, i want to do it on top, not just on bottom! thankss!!

When it comes to liquid eyelineR oR pencil eyelineR, it's just a peRsonal pRefeRence as to which we use. CeRtain things suit ceRtain people. HoweveR, if you ask... chances aRe that most people will tell you that pencil is a betteR choice. It's a gReat staRt foR a beginneR who is just getting used to it. If you mess up, pencil is A WHOLE LOT easieR to clean up and Re-do than liquid would be. And if you plan on caRRying it aRound in a puRse oR pocket.. you also face a chance that the liquid may Ruin [though I don't suggest caRRying eyelineR in youR pocket]. And if you do mess it up, just take a tissue and slowly Run it along the Rim of youR eyelid.. it'll come Right up. Now, the desiRed effect of eyelineR is to cReate the illusion of daRkness just above the lashline to enhance the look of the lashes. To apply it, gently hold youR eyelid down, and staRt at the inneR paRt of the lid [closest to youR nose]. Then just simply dRaw a thin line smoothly and evenly along the uppeR lid, getting as close to the lashes as possible. And as foR the bottom lid.. VERY VERY GENTLYplace youR hand on youR cheek and tug down a little bit, pulling the bottom eye liad away fRom youR actual eye. This makes it simple to glide on, AND might help take away some of the neRvousness of gauging youR eye balls out, ya know? Also, make shoRe you dRaw the line all the way to the outside coRneR. It will pRobably take some pRactice; as many things in life DO. It pRobably took me about two days of eveRy day use to get the hang of it, and now I'm the champion of alllll champions at make up!
