I just started going out with someone. Im really happy about it and everything,and looks dont matter to me. But it does to one of my closest friends. im afraid of what their reaction is going to be when they find out. I dont want them to say "eeww" or anything that would make me feel bad. I know we all have different taste, but i just dont want my friends to react in a rude or gross way. I like him alot, and looks aren't everything to me. So i dont know what to do.

If one of your "closest" friends would judge you on who you go out with, then there not a very good friend. Friends are suppose to accept you for who you are and i`m not gonna lie but for sometimes what you do, cause friends care about you and what happens.. but in this situation its not up to them,who you go out with is based on the type of person you are, and if looks don't mean everything to you then good for you, your one of the lucky ones who cares more about the person inside than on the outside. Who cares what your friends will think if you like him and he likes you then nothing should matter what they think, although i know its hard when there your friends, just tell them that you feel differently, and that you really like this kid.. and if there the friends you thought they were then they`ll except him for what he is too. "Dont let anyone make you feel like you don't deserve what you want"
