Sometimes I wonder whether or not it is worth my time to help people. Most of the time they are selfish and don't really care about anyone other than themselves and their own problems...so if they don't care about me, why should I care about them?

I think that since you help people, that makes you a bigger person (if you know what I mean) lots of people are selfish and sometimes just dont remember to say thank you or to show their appreciation. You just have to remember that your doing something good. Without you, those people would have more problems. But I think if some of these people are your friends you should tell them how you feel and they will most likely understand and even apologise, good luck!
