why is it that guys say thingsto the girl to get what they want out of a relationship, but when that relatioship is over or they don't get what they want, they brush it off like they never said it? i am thoroughly confused by this. if you know why or think you do, please explain it to me. thanks in advance.

After that, if they won't get it then they wouldn't accept the responsibility of what they've said. In short they're not true to their words. They're not sincere in what they're saying. They just said it to get what they want. If you've encountered someone like that then try to distance yourself. Everything they'll say may or may not be true and you'll find yourself asking if what he's saying is true or not. Men like that are complicated. But sometimes there are exceptions to the rule.
