Hit Counter For Advice Columns

Question Posted Thursday May 12 2005, 5:48 am

Is there a way you guys can make it so that when we click on our own advice column the hit counter doesn't register our hits? I hate having to keep track of how many times I've looked at it just so I can have an accurate count of how many times others have looked at it. Or maybe you can add a stats page that we can view without having to go to our own column.

Thanks!

Yeah, I've gotten this request a couple times.

Try this: I just made it so that if you visit your column from any link on the "Column Settings" page, it won't register with the visitors counter. Basically, this adds "&prev=1" to the URL of your column. You can bookmark one of those addresses and check it whenever. You can also click the "feedback" link from there and bookmark that.
