Question Posted Saturday April 23 2005, 10:06 pm

Hey Karen,

Remember a long time ago I told you about my ex-boyfriend? It was long-distance/internet sort-of-thing. Well I almost have a new boyfriend and he asked me about my ex...and I'm too embarrassed to tell him he lived in Virginia! So when he asked, I told him I wanted to change the subject. Should I tell him or not? It's hard because he wouldent understand me. The only people that get long distance relationships has went through one..you know? But if he becomes my boyfriend, and we get serious...he'll probably be mad at me because I wont tell him. Anyway...any advice?

I don't remember you telling me about your ex-boyfriend. I would tell him though about where your ex lived. You won't feel embarrassed, since this will get off of your shoulders. If this guy is almost your boyfriend, then he has feelings for you, right? Then he should understand when you tell him. Just tell him because later on, it may affect your relationship if he becomes your boyfriend and you two get serious.
