Ok, I'm a level one moderator, and I don't want to be one anymore, how do I go about doing this?

I never thought about it. I guess you could ask a level II moderator to ban you for an hour... that'd get you kicked off for six weeks. File an abuse report for that one. Or just give crappy advice until your rating falls below 3.8.
