I need help, but please dont delete this. First of all, i like this boy named dan. I think he knows that i like him, but see i get shy around him, i dont know what to say when i'm around him and he like never hears me when i do get the courge to say 'Hi' to him. I wanna kno if he feels the same but i dont know how, my friends tried to get who he likes ( if he likes any one) out of him but he wont say. now he kinda avoids me. I dont know how to put it. I wanted to be friends with him first before he found out and now i dont kno what to do. I'm not like some of my friends who will go up to the person or tell everybody who i like. My friends and i have caught him staring in my direction but hey, you never kno right? What should i do about dan? What are some things that i can say to him also? Thanx a bunch!

BurnieMac answered Wednesday March 23 2005, 9:33 pm: Classic situation. In this case it sounds like neither of you really know each other that well. To fix this there is only one thing to do: get to know him. You say you get shy around him, but he doesn't really make any first moves towards you. In this case, if you really want to get to know him and get him to notice you, you're going to have to make the first move. Don't be too pushy; just make small talk. You can talk about school or ask him a question about himself, anything like that will work. There are no certain words that will work; you just have to make an impression. First impressions last a while, but don't put too much pressure on yourself if you do make a first move; just relax and do it. I hope that my advice will help you, and I wish you the best of luck. Friendly advice from Caleb. [ BurnieMac's advice column | Ask BurnieMac A Question ]
