how do you ask a guy out? i have done it many times before but this time.. hes just .. different. his mom doesnt like it when girls call his house, he barely gets online, and i just dont know if i could do it in person. i could write him a note.. but what if he shows his friends and laughs at me about it? i rate 5's if you respond quickly!

You pretty much just eliminated all options. You won't call him, you won't ask him online, you won't write him a note, and you won't ask him in person. You can't have a friend do it for you because, most likely, he'll say no. So, sorry chica, but unless you can scoop up the confidence to do it in person, you just won't be able to go out with this dude unless he makes the first move. Some tips for you: Ask him out on a group date. Something like, "Me and some of my friends are going on this huge group thingy and I was wondering if you'd like to tag along?" Another option: Figure out where he hangs and magically appear. You know.. accidentally on purpose run into him?
