Nasty people keep giving me positive feedback but then rating me low because I "beg" for ratings. Now here comes the advice part *wink* .. Should I say "SCREW YOU!" and keep "begging" (retards) or should I close down my column because some people in here are too imature to handle a question?

Karen answered Wednesday February 23 2005, 11:45 am: No, don't close your column down. If you check out the answer ratings in the FAQ's, it will tell you that if you beg to be rated, that people will rate you low, since it is annoying. Not that many people are doing it now but they used. Putting "Please rate me" or whatever you type in your answer, people will assume that you just want to be rated and they get annoyed by that so they rate you low. If you just answer questions without telling people to rate you, then they won't rate you low.
