i really need to stop cutting but i dont want to tell anyone about my problem and i cant go to the counseler because the can tell your parents everything but what are some things i can do to stop?? i've quit for a while but it all just built up and i had to do it again. what can i do?

cutting yourself isn't going to do you any good. it may make you feel better at the moment, but afterwards and usually just makes things worse! let your emotions out in a different way then cutting yourself. let your emotions out in ways that won't hurt you like writing poems about how you are feeling, boxing with a punching bag, and stuff like that! those usually help me when i'm really upset and want to let my emotions out! it isn't bad to let them out, because you can't keep them inside of you because it'll just built up and make them worse. if that doesn't stop you, you will probably have to tell your family and a counselor because they will help you stop.
