How can I convince my semi-strict mother to let me get my belly button peirced. I tried a few things but they haven't worked so far.

Karen answered Sunday December 26 2004, 5:04 pm: Over the summer, I wanted to get my belly button pierced and my mom wouldn't let me so I decided to do it by myself. Turned out that I popped a blood vessel and the area around my belly button was red and you could see my veins. Yes, gross. I did everything right but in the end, it came out wrong. Anyways, if your mom won't let you get your belly button pierced, don't do it behind her back. Just keep on whining and asking her if you can get it pierced. Ask her what you can do around the house so she'll say yes and will let you get your belly button pierced. I helped my mom clean the house and watch my siblings and she then noticed that I was responsible enough and said I could get it pierced. It's been about 4 months since I've had it pierced and I still help my mom. Try to show your mom that you're responsible. Try to do better in school and help her around the house. Hope I helped :)
