drugs and other girls

ok me and my boyfriend have been dating for about 1 month and 1 week and hes great and he tells me he loves me and he means it and tells me im the most important person in his life and he tells me that he would choose me over drugs and that drugs arn't apart of his life anymore and that im more important. how do i know that all this is true? how do i know that hes not just sayin this? How do i know that im the most important thing in his life? how do i know the drugs are over?
