i banned my self for five days because i really need to study for finals rather than be on the computer. and then i relized that i have to wait alot longer to be a moderator because i am banned. do i still have to wait as long because i did ban myself?? and how long untill i can be a moderater??

It depends... if you've never been banned before, the system won't care, you can moderate just like you always did. If you have been banned before by someone else, the system is going to be all sorts of confused. let me know if this happens.
