My boyfriend and me?

Question Posted Sunday December 5 2004, 2:10 pm

I was searching random columnist and I came across your column, I haven't seen you give any advice yet, so I decided to ask you. Okay, well here goes... my boyfriend still lives with his mom, he's a senior in high school, but he's 18.(I'm a freshman, 14) Well because of work his mom is moving about 3 hours away, and he has a choice whether he wants to stay or go. He told me it was up to me whether he stayed, and if I want him to stay than he will. The hard thing about my decision is his sister passed away about 3 months ago, and I don't want his mom to move and him to stay, because then it'll be like she's losing him too. I don't know what to choose. Do you think it's true that if you love someone let them go, and if they come back it's meant to be? I don't know what to choose, I love him sooo much, and we were even thinking that when I turn 18, he'll be 22, and we'll be able to get married if we're together that long, we've already been together for about 7 months. It's really hard I don't want him to leave his mom, but then I don't want him to leave me. If you were in that situation, which would you choose?

I dont see why he's putting all the pressure on you, but if I was you I would let him go with his mom since she would be all alone. Talk to him all the time and make random trips to see each other. And if all that works out maybe yall would still be together and yall could wait until your 18 to get married. Im sorry if I couldn't help that much, I tried.
