Hey hun, my mom wrote a book, so I'll do the best I can to give you the scoop:
You need to find a publisher, and make a due date for your book to be completed.
If you're getting pitures, hire a publisher
Write away!
Edit CAREFULLY
send your book in
they'll send it back if there are more errors
there is a whole nother process after that, so it depends who your book is being aimed towards
my best advice is:
TYPE EVERYTHING!
SAVE ON A DISK (just in case)
PARTNER UP (makes the job EZer)

There's a great magizene called Stone Soup that publishes work by young authors. Go to www.stonesoup.com for more info.
Also, there's a wonderful website called
www.poetry.com that holds poetry contests for all age poets.

Start small. Post your stuff on fictionpress.com and look for poetry contests and webzines that take submissions. Get involved with creative writing clubs and classes, which often publish their own books and can provide oppurtunities to get your stuff published in a real book.

Go to google.com and search. u can also send them to Chicken Soup For the kids soul!! they will put dem in the book. or just search places on the internet.hope i helped.
