I lost a question

Someone asked me a question yesterday, and I wasn't able to get to it. I clicked on my Inbox, but my computer went slow, so I clicked again, then again. Well, when it finally went to my inbox it said that there were no unanswered questions. Then I got an email at my regular address saying that I had a question, but again, I went to my Inbox and there were no unanswered questions. Anything I can do about this?
