the hymen...

Question Posted Thursday June 3 2004, 10:15 pm

I lost my virginity in 2002 and it has been some time and i have been with a few people in sexual activities since but just recently i was with a guy and all he did was finger me and i bled, it wasn't just a little it was alot, at first i thought mabye i got my period while he was fingering me but after that i did not bleed anymore, do you think that is is possible that it was my hymen, or could it have been something else?

thanks

If you lost your virginity before (and you've had sex more than a few times) I doubt that it was your hymen. Untimely bleeding can signal clotting or maybe an infection. The only way to be sure is to see an OB/GYN.
