tiwonge answered Thursday October 16 2003, 8:46 pm: I never thought I would be a teacher. I enjoyed school, though, but had little respect for the grasp my teachers had on their subject matter. That changed some in high school when I went to an excellent school, but I never thought that teaching was what smart people did.
I just enjoyed school too much, and I enjoyed learning too much, and I enjoyed my subject matter too much. And so when I finished school (eventually, I did finish) and didn't know what else to do and heard that my old school was looking for a teacher, I gave it a shot.
