Hello im planning on getting a male chihuahua poodle mix baby puppy. This will be my first dog im training and the main thing i want to master is potty training. Any tips or hints would be greatly apprecaited!!

When they are young, like 6 weeks, they need to go out about every 2 hours, the longer you have him the more familiar you will get with the signs that he gives when he needs to go out. As he gets older he will be able to hold it longer and longer, there will be accidents at first. Don't punish him if you just find it afterwards, if you catch him in the act simply give a firm no and take him to the place where you would like him to relieve himself. When he goes in this place throw a little 'potty party,' filled with lots and lots of affection and celebration and even a treat.
