ok first of all a real friend wont get mad if you buy something they want. and little LAPtop shoudnt get in between a friendship. that would be foolish a real friend would let that happen. if he gets mad for that its ridiculous.
good luck ]
its hard to tell if it would ruin a friendship, because i dont no what kind of guy he is. But he was looking for it first and has been wanting one for a while, so you should just find another computer. But about the money situation, if he asks again say, "maybe you could start some oddjobs" ]
i think you should wait and get a different one.unless you explain to him that you relle need one and hope he'll understand. i think it would be fine. but think about it,i know you need it, but you relle didnt want one till he got one and couldnt afford it. i would relle think this through.hope i helped ^_^ ]
if this is a real good friend maybe you should give him the money because byeing somthing he had wanted for a long time is kinnda mean and if you need to no if you could even use one then you realy should give him the money or dont ell him anything because it might not be worth loseing a friend over but if he is a bad friend then bye it and tell him how freaking awsome it is..... ]
Ouch.. this is a tough one. Do you HAVE the money to buy it RIGHT NOW? I know you said he asked to borrow some money, but you didn't have it. Now all of the sudden you do? Is that correct, or did I get confused?
If you look at it one way.. fair is fair. If he doesn't have the money to purchase it RIGHT NOW, but you do.. I don't see how it would be 'wrong' [for lack of a better word] of you to buy this laptop.
Personally, I wouldn't do this. It just seems like it's breaking those unwritten and unspoken rules of friendship, ya know? One friend sees something he wants, but he has to wait for a bit before he can get it. A friend of his comes along and takes it from under him, all the while aware of the fact that his friend so desperately wanted it. And not only that, he asked you if he could borrow some money specifically FOR this laptop and you turned him down... only to go purchase it for yourself...
This seems like it could definitely become a big mess. It MIGHT be able to "ruin a friendship", but hopefully your friend thinks more of you than to just kiss you off so fast, ya know?
If I were in your situation, I would leave it alone, but that's just me. Your decision is JUST that... YOUR decision. Whatever you decide, I hope it turns out okay.. Sorrie if I've confused you with all of my incoherent ramblings. I hope you can figure this out with a solution you can live with. :] ]
