try looking in the newspaper. the newspaper has a variety of jokes that you can use. plus, you can try and study the different types of styles people write in. if that doesn't work, why not try going online and finding tips there.

Underpaidhobo answered Sunday October 3 2004, 3:32 am: The hardest part I had when I ran a comic site was getting the characters to the point of conflict. Basically what I would do would just be to write out all the scenes I could thing of even if they didn't connect right away and then go through and fill in the holes. I don't know if this was really a good technique or not but I always felt like it worked. As for drawing, I've always been a fan of simplicity. If you're going for strips, keep it down to basic lines, and solid colors. If you're doing something to the effect of Graphic Novel or multi-chaptered story, you might wanna pay more attention to detail. I think that covers everything...
