Our coworker invited me and my friend to go to a birthday party for another coworker. But one of my friends didn’t have a good relationship with the birthday girl in the first place. Eventually we picked up the coworker that invited us and we went. Once we got there, the birthday girls mother mistaken my friends name for another girl, and she felt distant. As well as the coworker that invited us was very distant with the both of us, and acted like he didn’t know us, as well as the other coworkers that were there, we felt ignored. By the end of the day, everyone was quite rude and eventually as we were leaving, I overheard them say, “who invited them?” And I felt quite hurt. Hi there, I have had many jobs since I was 16 and I am now 34. I've had this very hard to define issue at every job I've ever had and also in a few of my personal relationships. I'll do my best to explain but it isn't an easy thing to outline.
A very large portion of my interactions are based on the other person or people assuming I am ignorant about whatever it is we are talking about or incompetent and unable to perform the task correctly. I am a 14 year old guy. And I am part of a friend group.We have known each other for 4 years now, and we were two friend groups of guys and girls. my cities mayor is gay and supports gay rights, adoption, marriage etc, i am a Christian and the mayor offered me a job as her chief equality officer aka right hand person to make decisions on her behalf , should i work for her as a chirstian even though she supports something I dont? im sure some subjects will come up about gay rights etc during my tenure with her....

I was discharged from work 3.5 weeks ago and I get paid weekly...for some reason I hadn't received my final paycheck as law states, I should've received it the following week after my discharge....welp, I called my office three times and left vms concerning this issue.. and no one called me back....so today I called corporate and filed a lost check/never received form and informed the office that the site I worked at is very unprofessional as to not returning my phone calls concerning my paycheck/money that I earned....lo and behold after nearly a month goes by my check is in the mail today...was I wrong for informing corporate of the issue or should I have waited even longer??

How to stop stressing about an exam?

So I know I passed the exam but definitely not with a high mark, I hate talking about exams with my friends after we’re done because we put different answers. However I’ve checked the answers I’ve put on the exams through the professors lectures and my answers were wrong. Now I’m stressing out because I know my mark will drop but I don’t want it to drop more than 10% the professor said she would never bell curve. The exam had so many short answers worth 5 marks and 10 marks I know I got two 5 mark questions wrong, because one of them I only gave one answer when I should’ve at least put 3, but I couldn’t figure it out. the 10 marked ones I answered it the best I can but I feel like I should’ve put more. I'm a 11-year old girl in middle school, and I need advice. For 2 days now, My crush has promised to actually listen to my origins for Mantodea, the comic we're creating, but he had ditched me and left as soon as I turn my back. What should I do? Co-worker trying to take over parts of my job

I work at a school as a reading resource teacher. We have had many new changes this year. With those new changes came a new teacher leader. Her and I started working at the school at the same time as classroom teachers and she moved into this new role this year. I have been a resource teacher for 2 yrs now and my role has also become part of our leadership team. The previous person who was in the teacher leader role was very off hands. This opened up more leadership roles for me slowly over time. Now that we have a new person in this role I feel that she is trying to take leadership opportunities that I have done in the past away. We never really spoke to each other much beforehand but one day in December we were playing Kahoot together (I know, very random. Now, if you don’t know what Kahoot is, it’s an online quiz app that’s often used in schools. She asked me to be on her team for the Kahoot (though it was quite obviously because her close friends were absent that day). So, I have a crush on my bus driver! I don't usually freak out like this when I have crushes on someone, but this time, its different. I'm embarrassed and ashamed. I’m a seventeen year old whos a senior in high school I suffer from a bad case I’ve social anxiety it’s my last year of high school and it’s almost over and I want to get if my shell and make some friends but I’ve tried everything I try to focus on other people, I try to make eye contact and smile at people but I just ends up being creepy, I try to compliment people’s outfits and ask questions, I even take medicine for anxiety but nothing works. I don’t know what to do I know people aren’t really focusing on me and they are focused on there own lives but I can’t help being anxious. He is very annoying to me sometimes. He is very stubborn but very funny at some points. Sometimes he may or may not impress me. He is an athletic person but also a bit smart.
