through the, um, interesting questions we sometimes get, we rate questions based on how interesting they are. You must be a level 1 moderator to rate questions. Here's what the different ratings mean:
- Question has not been rated
- Not a great question. Either really long or really short, with horrible spelling errors, and it's been asked fifty times already.
- Okay question, but shouldn't be on the main page because it's just not that great or contains sexual content.
- Somewhat decent question that people will like answering. Most of the words are spelled right and we can show it on the main page without being embarrassed

This really bothers me. My mother-in-law in particular does this. First of all, to those that do this, STOP IT! Nobody knows everything. Just because you know something that someone else does'nt know, that does not make you better or smarter than them. And even if you are smarter, let's say more educated, you can still be respectful when answering a question. This also applies to you advice people. I'll give you an example that happened today with my mother-in-law. She is getting her house painted and I asked her why her house had spots all over it, and she answers in this patronizing way " They have to fill in all the holes and cracks, they can't just leave it like that and slap paint on it. Well excuuuse me. I don't know anything about painting houses, and I told her that I didn't realize that's what they were doing, and she didn't have to make me feel dumb. Then she says that it was a dumb question. She is so rude and hurtful it makes me so angry. If it was me, and I knew about house-painting, and someone asked me this question I would have simply and politely stated that it was spackle to fill in the holes and cracks. I guess some people like to lord it over people even about stupid things just to make themselves feel superior. If this happens again, with her or someone else, can someone give me an example of a good comeback or tell me how to handle myself better? I ended up saying "Thanks for making me feel stupid." Which I'm sure was not the best way to respond. She didn't say anything. Smug people really bug me! (link)

Tell her that you learned that there is no dumb questions, only dumb answers. That always seemed to work for me. There is really no way to fix this sitution. But when she ask you a question about something be smug right back at her and give her or whoever a taste of there own medicane.

Ok since everyone said stuff about your mom and how you should act like an adult and what not I am going to tell you when you first get your tongue pierced it does not hurt but within a couple of hours your tongue will be huge! You will only be able to eat soft foods like apple sauce and only be able to drink juices. This you will have to do for about a month. YES I SAID A MONTH! I have had my tongue pierced and it was not the greatest experience. There is alot you need to learn about before you go. You need to find a good place to go, check to see if you might be allergic to metals (I found out that I am by putting that bar in my mouth), and find out the risks you are taking. It is your choice if you do it or not. Just make sure you are prepared before doing it! Good luck!

Nothing is wrong with you. Nature is just taking its time on you. Girls get their periods at different times. Just wait and it will come. No female likes their period but it will become normal to you!

Well, this is a hard question to answer due to the fact that I am female. But here is what I can tell you. My boyfriend had the same problem and we found out that he was just not ready to have sex yet. He was nervous and it caused his erection to disappear. It took us a good long time before we actually had sex for the first time. All I can tell you is wait and see if that is the problem. Fool around but just don't have sex. I have a very screwed up family. But my problem is that my oldest brother is in the Army and has been in Iraq since November. Well, he came back for 2 weeks and I only got to talk to him once while he was here. He was to busy with his wife and 3 adopted daughters. Then I find out on the day he left that he called the rest of my family ie my twin brother, my sister, and a couple other relatives and NOT me! Your question is very confussing. You are going to need to re-do it so I can help you answer it. But of what I can get out of your situation, get them both together and see what happens. If you feel like they are very acquired toward each other then you know something is going on. If they are not weird around each other then you know nothing is going on.
If you are 14 and been dating for 9 months and you know it is going down hill anyways, just end it before it gets any worse!

Well, you should tell your friend that you are not this other person that she keeps comparing you to. You are a totally different person. Have fun for the year that your parents are allowing you to stay in your normal school and say all your good-byes. You are going to have to go to a new school because driving a half hour away for school puts alot on your parents. They most likely feel that is better for you to take the school bus to your new school (after the year in your normal school) and meet new people. You are young still and you will meet many people along the way. No matter how far you move your best friend should understand that she is always going to be your best friend no matter how far apart you 2 are. If you have not gone into the drug scene then you most likely won't, just because you move does not mean the school or the new people you meet are all going to be bad. You just need to suck it up and take on these new experiences head on. You will feel weird at first in the new school but you will get use to it and you will make new friends but insure your best friend that you 2 will always be best friends no matter what!
