Last year i went to this valentines day dance. my best friend had a girlfriend and i didnt and i felt like a "tag-along". he has so many girls that like him and i think it might happen again this year. i was thinking that i might try to ask someone too but i dont really like anyone so i dont have anyone to ask. I was just going to find someone that i liked a little bit and ask her but im not sure. Should i ask somebody or should i go alone like last year? What should i do? Please help.

Whatever, it's really your prerogative. If you felt like a tag-along last year with your best friend who's obviously very popular with the ladies, maybe asking someone this year could be a good idea. If you do, ask someone who you're comfortable hanging out with a lot and talking to, so it won't get awkward and you'lll have a good time, even if this is your best girl friend. Have fun!

Asking his friend is a good idea cause if he flirts with you then he probably likes you and his friend will probly tell the guy that you asked and he'll be happy and you'll be happy. or you could just hang around him a lot and see how he acts around you.

ok i have this problem....i think i like this guy, but my friend likes him too. shes liked him alot longer then me though. he flirts with me more then he does with her and his friends have told me that he thinks im hott and that he would go out with me, which tends to make her upset at times. i dont want to ruin our friendship, but i cant help the fact that the guy likes me.

Guys always say: Bros before hoes. Personally, I think that guys'll come and go but you have a limited number of true friends, so sacrificing a friendship for some guys probably isn't worth it, but I don't know this girl or the guy. Talk to your friend and explain, then re-evaluate where you are. You could even explain the situation to this guy, he'd understand, and probably be flattered that two girls like him so much. But seriously, don't ditch your true friends for a guy. What happens when you break up with this guy? Or if you realize he's not that tight? Then you'll really regret ruining this friendship. Think hard.

Well first of all, i think that you should learn how to spell. For instance, shud=should and whut=what.

On to the advice...i think that if you like the girl you should flirt with her a bunch and see if you get a reaction. If you do then you are steamy and set.

If you get no reaction then ask her friends if you have a shot.If they say yes, go for it. If they say no, sorry i think you are out of luck.

If this girl really likes you and is good enough for you, she'll understand that you have to be with your family and you have a life outside of her. Besides, I think it's cute that you spend time with your family. And as they say, "longing makes the heart grow fonder"...

ok, i've like this guy for a LONG time, 3 years. We've become better friends over the past 3 years since i liked him and i don't know if he likes me. We see each other at school but only in 3rd period but we talk most of the time since it's art. any ideas? i know i DON'T want to tell him how i feel, it would make everything so much harder and more awkward. If you think i should keep flirting, tell me some ideas. I'm 14, and he's 14. I'm a cheerleader and he's a football player but there isn't ne more games b/c the season is over. should i give up on this guy or stick to it?

You've liked this guy for so long, wouldn't giving up now seem like you wasted those three years on that one guy? And obviously if you've liked him so long, you like him ALOT and he's really special and important to you. You should keep flirting with him, but you've gotta send him the signs that you like him. But, as all girls know, guys are pretty much oblivious to the subtle things we try to do. We call that OBS (Oblivious Boy Syndrome). Since you only see him in third period, ask him for help on your art projects or find him at lunch and talk to him about whatever then, or talking to him online, cause you then that's less tense. The only way you're gona be able to truly resolve this is to tell him your feelings straight out. Do it in person, and the worse thing that could happen is he could say no. And if he's been flirting back with you, chances are he likes you too. Putting your heart on the line is really hard, but it will be worth it in the end.

well, this is a very tough and broad question. I think you should definately not get him anything lovy dovy cause he'll just pretend to like it cause guys don't like that stuff. nothing really big and crazy. maybe something like music, or a movie, or some guy thing, like mini magnet darts.... or not, ya know whatever works.

What do you do with friends who use you?

In my best opinion, friends are not only people you hang out with and are fun to be around but you also have fights about stuff with friends. and that is normal and no matter what happnes you should always work to be friends again. cause friends are always better than no friends.

So we're a couple of sophmore guys. And we're all in the same Algebra II with Anal class, right? So we sit in this little circle, and there's this Asian girl who sits smack dad in the middle of us. And she thinks we're all funny, cuz she laughs at us all the time.

But what we REALLY want is her FRIEND, this other freshman (totally preppy) to like us. We know she thinks we're funny, because she laughs at our jokes when the Asian tells her them.

Well, Charlie, as a girl, I can't think of another alternative. Personally, I think it would be rude to ask her online or on the phone and it would show you cared so much more if you just did. Also, if she hypothetically said yes, how would you be able to talk to her or confront her about other stuff. Don't make too big a deal out of it. Try to do it after you've already been talking to this girl for a little while, like walking to class or something...and do it when it's just you two please. I know it's really hard, but just do it. I mean, the worst thing that could happen would be that she says no, which would be more helpful then never knowing what she woud say. Give it a try.

Well...yes


It depends on what the person may like. Sometimes creating special sculptures and figures is fun. From past experience, i prefer the infamous "the Thinker". Other's prefer animals, such as pelicans, ostriches, or even polar bears. it all depends on the type of attention you'd like to get.

Find ways to talk to him without looking desperate. Ask him for help on the homework...? Ask him to edit your papers. Find him at lunch to ask what's the on math test. Stuff like that which should lead to bigger conversations which you had both relate to. That way you can find out if he's interested too...Good luck, and ask for more help if you need it!
