Q: well i started college a few weeks ago and have made a FEW very good friends. i am very comfortable with them and spend a lot of time with them. i have about 3 of these good friends. however, i would REALLY like to make more friends because sometimes these friends aren't available or i don't feel like being with them all the time. i am joining clubs, living on campus, yet i haven't met very many people in my classes or in the clubs. i am typically good at meeting people and i'm outgoing, but i feel like nothing is really happening right now. i would just like advice from people in college. oh, and i'm not joining a sorority or anything like that...but i would like to make some good girl bestfriends.

i just started college, too, and i'm having a similar problem. i asked a lot of people about this and they all told me just to wait it out, they didn't make any real friends until like their second semester. i think you're lucky just to 3 friends already, i've only made about 1 and the rest are acquaintances! :p are you being too picky? i mean, i know i can be like that. if you're just looking for people to pass the time, pick anyone. good luck!

Q: it's super duper random, for example.. my mind has been working all day at school, and then i had to take a skilled test for school. and when i was dancing it was really weird.. i blanked out for a second, and i kind of blacked out for about 2 seconds.. and i felt dizzy and i was holding onto my head and it was kind of blurry for a while. but then, it went back to normal and i went back to dancing after i caught up. why is this? and what should i do?

Q: Hi,
Im a guy, 15 and about 3 months ago I bought my own acoustic guitar. The brand is Washburn and the modle is Oscar Schmidt I think. Anyway, I've been going on to youtube and teaching myself songs. I don't know very much about music, so I don't know what songs are out there, but the ones I did find I've learned and perfected. So far I've learned "Follow you into the dark" by Death Cab., "Hey there delilah" by plain white t's, "Good Riddance" By green day, and a few other songs. These are the kind of songs I'm looking for, the softer acoustic guitar songs, u know like one with a good mellody. I'm ready to learn more, I just don't know where to look. Does anyone have any ideas on what songs I should learn next?

Q: My boyfriend has a bad habit of always being on his iPhone. While out to dinner with friends, watching a movie, pretty much every where. I try to get him off of it and after I say something he will, but 30 mins later he'll get back on. What should I do? It gets pretty annoying him always playing with his iPhone :-\

i think living in this day and age.. it's really common. and it sucks. my friends all have sidekicks and can't go a full minute without checking their myspace.
what i did was actually talk to them about it, in length. i said, "you're wasting your life compulsively checking your phone for messages from people who don't matter. i'm here and i'm your friend, i love you and i want to hang out with you and all you do is fucking ignore me."
i'm pretty sure they thought it was a bitchy move of me but they got over it and use their phone about half as much as they used to. good luck!

Q: So i was talking to this guy about two months ago and then i left for vacation. When i got back we weren't really talking like we used to. He then left for vacation and we stopped talking. We have been friends for a long time. A month after he got back he started dating this girl. The girl is a friend of mine, but she's not my best friend. I wouldn't trust her with all my secrets. We do always invite each other to our parties, but we don't talk a whole lot. Now that they are dating the guy has been talking to me. We hang out all the time. He calls me everyday. And i'm starting to like him again. We talked about what we are going to do about it cause he likes me back. I told him I can't keep talking to him while he's in a relationship so i told him he would have to make his choice soon. I'm mostly worried about pissing off my friend. I'm in need of some advice. got any?

the way i see it, there are a couple of ways this could pan out. 1) the guy could leave your friend and date you, which makes it pretty obvious that you two were talking prior to their breakup. 2) he could stay with the girl and two end up hooking up and keeping it a secret from your friend, and both end up feeling guilty. 3) he stops talking to you a stays with your friend.
how good of a friend is she? is she worth losing? i can't really answer these questions for you, obviously, and maybe this isn't the "right" advice, but if she isn't that great of a friend, wait for him to break up with her and date him. that's what i would want to do. unless she's a good friend, despite you guys not being close. what do you think she would do if you guys switched places? would she date him or would be really be altruistic enough to give up a guy she liked for you?
it's up to you. do what makes you happiest, but don't be surprised if that makes you some enemies. good luck.

yeah, the other answer you got was good. in the end it all comes down to your style, but personally, i think flats and converse are the way to go. i like to go to kaboodle.com and type in "flats" to see some really cute (and a lot of times really affordable) shoes.
