I have been growing my hair out so I can donate it to Locks of Love for over a year now. It is finally 10 inches from where i want it cut and I am excited about getting it cut. I want it about shoulder length. I need to get it thined out because my hair is really thick. Does anyone have any siggestions for the style and everything? I cant dye my hair by the way. Oh, and I have side swept bangs right now (link)

i am a cosmetologist and i was in your situation just a few months ago with my sister. depending on where you want go cut your hair off to depends on where you start the layers. just get layers starting where you are going to cut it at and then when you cut it even it all up to that first layer and if you want more add more to your totally new style. good luck with your new look.
