whenever you really like someone you get extra consious about things like this, but remember shes your best friend so you can trust her. just make it clear to her that you feel really uncomfortable with him knowing, and to not tell anyone. hope things work out!

i recently got out of over a year and a half relationship tuesday. it was the happiest time of my life but he was a total jerk and i never realized it, my friends convinced me. he used me, cheated on me and broke me down. people keep saying the best way to get over him is to go out with someone else.. i dont really want a boyfriend right now, i still love my ex. but my friend wants to set me up with this guy that is honestly what iv always wanted in a guy and more in looks, hobbys, intrests and outgoingness but iv never met him and my friend wont be able to come when we meet. im still close with my ex even though he was an ass were staying good friends only. should i give the guy a chance or is it too soon, i want to wait but at the same time i need comfort what should i do? do you think its ok if i stay good friends with my ex too? we were bestfriends and instantly liked eachother when we met. 16/f (link)

heyy, well i think that you probably could stay friends with your ex, but there is some things you might have to watch out about what you say, like if hes the jealous type i wouldnt bring up the other guy right away. and trust me dont pushh yourself into going out with someone just because your friend thinks thats best for you. If you and the ohter guy are meant to be..you will go out eventually. doesnt have to be now. so if i were you i would just hang out with him and become friends and go from there. dont rush things you just got out of a seiorus relationship that probbaly aused alot of pain.:/
hope things work out!:D

so im a sophomore. this year i have been good friends with this guy. i have one calss with him and ive known him before this year but this year we actually talk, well we used to talk everyday all the time, then our seats were moved and i relized that i liked him more than a friend. after class he will wait for me and we will walk to his locker which is down the hall, we dont talk a whole lot outside of that class. well i invited him to a church event but he couldnt make it, i wrote my number in his planner. but he hasnt texted me and its been 2 nights. my friends thinks that he is flirting with me when we walk out of calss together but i cant tell since we are friends. and does that mean that he doesnt like me since he hasnt texted me? also what are other flirting signs? hm guys can be weird, im a sophomore girl and had a similiar situation. Just because he hasnt texted you doesnt necessarily mean he isnt interested. one flirting sign is him actually waiting for you and talking to you, try to reach out to him outside of class though. like facebook, or text him first about hw question and start from there. i realized that you usually find guys glancing at the girls they like, or trying to get close to them,a dn try to make you laugh. if hes home and not replying to you...he might just be playing video games:P ahah well good luck hope i helped(:

19/female. First year in college.
I like this guy, he recently turned 18, and he is a senior in high school. He is bascially the star of the school with sports - especially hockey. Well my cousin plays on the same team as him and so me and my friend are going to watch him saturday, and after that my old school plays so we are going to stay for that. I'm just worried it may be awkward because this guys ex girlfriend who he was with for 3 years, is going to be there. I've met her a few times when they were dating, but I just don't know how to act if he is with her after their game, and stays for the second game. I haven't talked to him in about two weeks, and haven't seen him in about a month. I'm sooo shy around him, and he is not. He is a popular guy, hes funny and all the girls just stare at him because they think he is adorable.
What should I do if he is with his ex girlfriend and his friends and her friends who I do not like? Most likely, he won't come up to me if he is with her which would be even more awkward. Ughhh awkward situations.. (link)

yeah i know what you mean, that could be an awkward situation but only if you make it awkward. just act yourself, dont be all over him, but talk to him. And his ex is his ex, they broke up for a reason so i wouldnt worry to much about her. Just try to make conversation, talk about the game, or school, sports,
dont worry about it too much im sure you will have a great time(:
