I am trying to figure out a brooklyn accent and I need some help. I live in the four corners area in the US- how can I change my speech to a realistic Brooklyn accent? Any ideas/ tips/ links would be very helpful.

i have a brooklyn accent, but live no where near there. people say that you can hear mine the most when im angry and yelling.. and when im singing. i tend to not pronounce every letter as you do when your talking and mesh some words together.. im not sure how this helps.. but good luck :)

whats the easiest and most useful way to get rid of stage fright?

you know that feeling after you auditioned.. or finished playing the piano in front of a crowd, or just finished a scene. the feeling like .. wow! that wasnt so bad, i wish i was more relaxed going into it! thats always how i feel after finishing a show. if your performing chances and your doing it becuase you love it, so relax and have fun with it. if you mess up, your probably the only one who noticed. be comfortable with what your doing and be well rehersed and im sure everything will go great :)

Will someone please help me with setting my rates of babysitting please and thank you =]

the rate currently can go anywhere from $6-12... it depends on the family, number of kids, and your experience. if your just starting out, and they dont have tooo many kids, i would start with $8-10. the parents might give you a raise as you work for them longer, or they might ask to pay you a little less due to finacial situations. try to be flexible, because that shows maturity. :)

what is a mothers helper and what dose it do??

a mothers helper is somewhat like a babysitter except the parents are there, and your helping entertain the kids, or taking them to a park, or maybe helping the mom with household tasks. its a great way to make money nad get some experience babysitting. usually you get paid $5-7 an hour

My best friend and I are thinking of starting a babysitting business, since we're both certified in CPR and First Aid, and have taken a bunch of babysitting courses, too.

We were wondering how we could go about this.

Like what should we charge, should we baby-sit together, or on our own, how should we advertise, .etc.

i know where your coming from i resently did this myself.
as far as what you should charge, base it on the amount of kids. i usually leave it up to the parents on how much they want to pay me, but i give them a range.
if you baby-sit together, it may be easier and more fun, but you'll have to split the money, so you wont make as much.
the best places to advertise is maybe on a bulletin board at a local elementary school, or at a YMCA.. another idea is to make up flyers saying the experience you have, the courses you have taken, and a little about yourself.. and walk around your neighborhood, and hand them out (only to people you know, and dont put personally information!!) if the people already have a babysitter.. they'll have your number if their babysitter is unavalable.. or if any of there friends need one!

oooook.so..i have this one friend..i've been friends with him for as long as i can remember..&& every single flipping year i always get the biggest crush on him..i've told him before but it was just like blah..but anyway.i'm really starting to like him again.we flirt like non stop whenever we're together.he's just the type of guy that i can just be chill around.but my problem is that he's kinda shy && i dno.he acts like he likes me.like today he wanted me to give him a low-five so i did && he kinda just held my hand there..so i dnooo.i'm wondering what i should do.i don't exactly know how to tell him.you know??but i dno.can someone please help me??

well it seems like he might have a crush too... but because he's shy.. he isnt going to admit it. so start to flirt a little more and see where it takes you, if your feelings keep getting stronger, tell him.. he probably agrees :)

How do you know if you love someone? I think I love my bgf, but how can I be sure? We both like each other, but can't have a relationship now (complicated). I think I may love him tho actually I think I do because I mean I'm a very emotional person and I love all my friends and stuff and loving people isn't very hard for me (like friend wise) but I think I love him. I love him as a very good friend at least. Also if you have been best friends with a boy for a while and then you date is it kind of weird to start hugging and stuff. When you haven't for so long? And we've watched and supported each other in other relationships with each others best friends. So if/when we date is it weird to start hugging and stuff? Thanks so much! And i rate.

loving someone.. and being in love with someone are two completely different things.
you can love someone without being in love with them. if your questioning the idea of loving him, and you yourself arent sure, it probably isnt quite love.

as far as it being weird to hug, and get closer than you two are used to with each other... just go for it. it may be wierd the first few times, but you have to break the ice at some point or another :)

i've been dating this kid brian for awhile and i really like him but the other day when i was hanging out w/ my friends i cheated on him with an older guy. my friends told the guy i had never made out before so he stuck his tongue in my mouth and wanting to get it over with, i made out with him. i don't know what to do.. should i tell brian or just not tell him and never let it happen again? help me!!! i'm so confused!! MUCH APPRECIATION!

well from what you said, it really doesn't seem like you had much of a say in getting with that kid. If you and brian have been going out for awhile he should trust you and respect that you came to him and told him the truth.

do you believe in saying that boys have to call girls first? because if a girl alwyas calls the boy first, that might seem a bit too eager or desperate or something. what would you do if you like a guy and you want to talk to him? would you wait?

it depends how close the two of you are.. and if it would be weird if you where to call him. if it wouldnt go for it! think about something to talk about before you call. if he doesnt answer, just wait for him to call you back.. who knows.. maybe he wants to talk to you too :)
