i normally get B's and C's on my report card, with an A every now and again. well, my school just let out today (early, i know) and a week ago, my dad made a big deal about how he wanted me to finish out the schoolyear with all A's. i knew i couldnt promise all A's, so i just told him id try my best. and i did! i really did...but i dont think he'll believe me if i say that.
see, the thing is, i have a really bad memory problem? like, i can remember some stuff, but not everything. and that reall screws with me in school. geomatry is where my problem is. i understand everything, and the teacher teaches very well. but as soon as i get home, i forget almost everything. and then i get F's on my tests and graded homework. but this week i really buckled down and tried my best on my last test and homework, and i got a 100% on my homework, and an 80 on my test (yes i know its a C-, its the best test grade ive had in a while) but that still didnt stop the inevitable D- waiting on my report card for geomatry.
now my problem is i have NO IDEA how im gonna break it to my dad! he always says how smart i am, but how can i be that smart if i forget everything in just 30 minutes?! "smart" people dont fail geomatry. i dont know what im gonna do.
can someone please help me? tell me how to break it to my dad in a subtle manner without disappointing him? the last thing in the world i wanna do is disappoint him.

I'd just like to say that I have the SAME EXACT memory problem as you, and I'm really bad at Math too. You're definitely not dumb. Just because your not as good at Math, it's a tough subject, trust me. I think you should start by apologizing to your dad. Show him how you got good grades in all your other classes and how your worst grade is in Geometry. With me, my other grades are always good, except for my Math class, it's always the lowest. Your dad will problem suprise you and be accepting. You never know. He may be dissapointed in you, but parents love you no matter what and they always believe in you and know your not dumb. Think positive. Good luck!

i have cut myslf many times before but i havent been for awhile and i feel like i need to telll my friends about it. but i dont want them to hate me or think im insane. and when they talk abou tthe subject they dont know why it bugs me and i hide it. what should i do??

You should definetly tell your friends. But only the ones that you trust and feel wouldnt think you were insane or whatever.

If you bottle up your feelings, then you can come very sad and depressed. And depression is a very bad illness.
Some people do it anyway, because they are too weak, and its easier for them to just keep all their feelings to themselves.

Okay so my neighbors have a lake house and I go every weekend. It's a HUGE lake, like the biggest one in my state so there's so much to do. I've done fishing, swimming, and resting on a big float so many times already. I want to do some stuff in the water to make it more fun so what can I do? Like what are some fun games or activities besides stupid Marco Polo or anything like that?? (link)

What a bunch of my friends to when it gets dark is we play flash light tag, which is like tag with a flashlight. We don't play it at a lake house, but its still a really fun game to play. I dont know if i helped, i dont know what else, you covered pretty much everything.

It kind of depends on your situation. In some cases, lying is good, because you could be helping someone. But in some cases, it could be bad, like if your cheating on someone, you should definetly tell them, because later it could get worse.

This is fine, as long as you dont keep her from hanging out with any of her other friends. And try to have other friends too.

I was wondering if anyone on this website knew Shaina Ortiz? She lived in Saint Charles, Illinois. She killed herself, I used to go to school with her. I can't really find any information on her cause of death. Does anyone know how she killed herself?
