First hit your local theater. Learn from them for free-and they can offer a world of advice and point you in the right direction. Good luck.

Im 13-f and i'm in theatre. They auditioned me for a part and it was the part that I really wanted and I didnt get it I got stuck with this whole other stupid thing. Im not even in the play. I know im a good actress and its my dream but they wont give me a chance. I feel like my dream is cruched. what should I do? (link)

Well...I can tell you from personal experience that you don't and will not always get every dream role you want in theater. The hard part of it is just that. It does not mean you are not talented or that you don't show potential, it just means that it was not your time. Your time will come though. Theater is about learning all aspects of it, the stage props, the sound, the sets, costumes, and finally, performing. Once you have learned and experiences all the aspects of theater-you only lead yourself to the lead role. Keep your chin up-work hard, learn everything you can and know that your time too will come. Look into local summer learning programs at your local theater-volunteer at your local theater. Someone is bound to see your talent, and from that point on...all the world's a stage. Break a leg!

I write out suicide notes and read them over and over...i write long paragraphs explaining to my family why I killed my self..while I write it I am laughing and thinking how fun this is, I get a thrill out of it. Sometimes I think I am depressed, but I don't feel depressed. I love thinking about suicide, wondering who would be at my funeral, if anyone would cry or care. I feel like I am going crazy, it's always on my mind, am I just crazy? Because I don't have any of the symptoms of depression.. (link)

Well I can tell you that by writing out notes, you are pre-programming yourself unconciously to possibly commit suicide someday. I know that sounds crazy-but it's true. It is normal to wonder and worry about the things you do...but when you start to feel sad, alone, and HOPELESS...you need to seek some professional help-because that is depression. There is no such thing as "crazy", it's just a term people like to use that don't want to admit they think the same things, and we all do. So...keep your chin up-and start thinking of ways that you can wonder how much people love you for the things that you do for them now...and not how sad they will be if you were no longer there to do things for or with them anymore. Your perspectives and thought patterns will change before you know it,and gradually your number one concern or worry in life will be how you want to live, not how others will feel when you die. Good luck to you and god bless.

I'm moving into a much smaller apartment at the end of the month and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to how I could make it look bigger and how could I make it look more homely since my walls will have to be white and most of my furnature (incleading comforter) is black. (link)

First you should make the room appear larger with the use of mirrors. You can place them on a coffee table, or walls, anywhere you see fit. Being that you lack the ability to make it colorful...you can bring in color with accessories. You can also repaint your own existing furniture to give it a pop of color. Bring in plants, flowers etc to make the room appear more full. Stay away from cluttering it though. Curtians, or cornice boards (which you can make yourself) always bring in a well needed boost of color and dimension. Throw rugs can seperate rooms, add colors, and make the home feel larger, and give it more depth. You can find them cheap if you look around. Happy decorating from Shannyo-and I would love an update on the progress.

i am redecorating my room and i don't have that much money for it. does anybody know where i can find some decorating things. ex. bed comforters, curtains, lamps, desks, exc. (link)

Well there are plenty of ways to decorate on a budget! First-hit your local garage sales. You cand find many things that you can make your own. For example: An old conforter...you can go buy cheap ribbon, or piping (decorative rope), and hot glue gun it on the comforter to personalize it. Then -you can repaint your current bedroom furniture (brown, white, or otherwise), with your parents permission of course. You can also paint your walls, and do something funky. You can look online for some more ideas. Look at pictures in Potterybarn, or in better homes and gardens magazines. You can also be creative, go through your attic, or basement if you have one...find things, repaint it, rebuild it, give it an all new, all you look for less. (be sure to get parents permission first though). Happy Decorating!

im like really fat.... like you dont notice it THAT much like i dont LOOK huge but i weigh like 230 pounds.. im 13 and im 5'4... how can i lose this weight because i really want to.. should i just stick to diet pills because i think i cant work it off since its probably hereditary.. i got the jene and my twin didnt because hes really skinny.. but how can i get rid of it? (link)

Well Sweetheart, first things first. You do not need to rely on diet pills at all. Diet pills have special chemicals in them that are sometimes suitable for adults, and adults only, and even then they are not safe for people to take. They can cause long term damage to your kidneys, heart function, thyroid glands and most importantly...your self esteem. If you are really serious about losing weight, perhaps a conversation with your parents about this issue would be the first step. I know that can be hard, but if you tell them how it makes you feel, your mother or father can schedule an appoinment with your family doctor, and he can give you the healthiest way to slim down a little bit, and most likely pretty quickly too. It is going to invlolve healthy eating and some exercise. The most important things to know here, (and it's sometimes hard to see when you are only 13 years old) is that you need to feel good about yourself on the inside too. I mean that it takes a very brave and intelligent young woman to write an advice columnist for some healthy advice...and you made the right choice there. Most 13 year olds I know would never have thought to do that...so bravo to you! You must have many amazing endearing qualities that make you who you are...and what matters most in life is that, not your weight. Good luck to you.
