I'd really appreciate answers from people who have actually BEEN pregnant, or are a nurse or something along those lines.
I'm not trying to say that other people don't know what they're talking about. I just need a REAL straightfoward answer, that isn't a bunch of myths.
Okay, I don't want to hear 'OMG YOUR SO STUPID!' Or any kind of lecturing. I know what I did was stupid, and irresposible. But, my and my boyfriend of 3 years recently had sex, it wasn't out first time together but it was our first time without a condom, and I'm scared I may have gotten pregnant. What I'm asking is simple:
What are the first signs of pregnancy, and when do they start? I can't rely on my period as one of them, bc that's irregular as it is. (link)

If you were on the pill, or any other form of hormonal birth control you should be okay. Usually those are about 99% effective for most women.
No one should ever call you stupid or lecture you, couples get caught up in the moment, it happens to other girls too. You aren't the first girl and you certaintly won't be the last.
Some of the early symptoms of pregnancy can include:
-nausea (day or night, not always in the morning)
-fatigue
-bloating, cramping
-swollen or tender breasts
-changes in the appearence of your breasts
-headaches
-unusual spotting
Keep in mind, these symptoms vary in different people. For instance, you may have 5 of those and not have the others, this doesn't really mean you're not pregnant. They can start anywhere from 2-8 weeks after conception. This varies too, though.
Take a home pregnancy test. Go out, or have a friend do it for you, and buy 2-3 tests. Some test kits even offer two tests for the price of one. Take one, and if it's negative, you're probably safe. Just to be sure, take the second a week later.
If you still don't get your period and you experience these symptoms although you are getting negative test results, see your doctor to find out what the problem is.
I hope I helped.

ok im 14 and i had sex twice with my boyfriend and i dont know if "it" {cherry} popped becasue everytime we have sex it hurts so bad is that normal for someone? i really really need to know before i have sex again>33 thanks :) (link)

I first had sex when I was 14, and did it ever hurt, haha.
The "cherry" concept is kind of difficult to explain. It's not actually, like round or anything. In fact, it's a piece of skin over your vagina called the heimen (sp?).
Usually you remove some of this piece of skin when you first use tampons, but that's not the case for everyone. As I'm sure you've figured out, a penis is alot bigger than a tampon.
If you've only had sex twice, I wouldn't be concerned if I were you. Your vagina changes shape and size to accomodate things (i.e. a penis, tampons, fingers, specculum, ect.). However, it can still be uncomfortable the first few times.
Try using more lubricant, get something water based as to prevent allergies. You can purchase them at most drug stores/pharmacies without anyone knowing. ALWAYS use a condom. Those are lubricated but for some females it's not enough, and it's a must in preventing unwanted pregnancies and STD's/HIV.
You could also use a vaginal moisturizer. KY makes a great one, called silk-E or something.
Good luck.

Yes, you could be pregnant, thought it's probably unlikely. Chances are right now that you're scared. I'm 16 and I've gone through scares like this multiple times.
Even though he was inside you (for lack of better terms) without a condom very briefly; males, when sexually excited produce a secretion called pre-cum (Again, for lack of better terms).
This USUALLY does not result in pregnancy, but it's possible.
The best way to know for sure, is to take a home pregnancy test. My personal advice to you is to buy 2 or 3, take one in the morning when you wake up, and if it's negative then you're probably safe but take another in 3-5 days just to be sure.
If you're still experiencing symptoms and haven't recieved your period but the tests are still giving a negative result, see your doctor or go to a planned parenthood clinic for some tests.
Hope I helped! Best of luck to you!
