help me please (link)
It depends on what state or country you are from, and how old you are. Some state/country laws require that one or both parents must give consent for you to receive birth control if you are under a certain age, usually 18 or 16. I suggest calling up a health clinic such as Planned Parenthood and asking them about the laws for your area. If your area does not have any laws, you probably will not need a pap smear, but your doctor may recommend one. If you go to your primary care physician, or a clinic, the doctor/nurse practitioner will do a quick exam and ask questions about your health. If you go to a clinic like Planned Parenthood, they will probably give you lots of information about safe sex and even free condoms. Depending on your age and financial situation, PP may give you monthly birth control for free or no cost. I hope this helped.
