ok this summer i went to the caribbean for like 8 days. i have never burned in my life, but i burned this time because i didnt wear enough sunscreen. i got these little tiny bubble-like things on my burns, and it looked like sun poisoning but it wasnt (it didnt hurt&it just peeled off) i think thas just that was i peel. but i ride horses, and everytime i come back from riding i have these little bumps again... not even where i was burned! like little sweat bubbles or something... when i rub my skin they go away and i just peel... this keeps happening--i ride my horse every day--im not allergic (ive been around horses my whole life) but could it just be the physical activity? or the dirt or something? 5 for good answers...

oo btw- it doesnt hurt its just weird (link)
The peeling thing is normal with bad sunburn... and the bumps from riding the horse is probably just a contact rash of some sort, completely unconnected. If you're that worried, see a doctor.

i heard that you get discharge about 1 - 2 years before puberty and its like white creamy fluid stuff.. well i have it and i wanted to know if you get it all ur life or will it end? (link)
It should most likely last until menopause... it's a regular part of most girls' menstrual cycles, not just before the first time.

okay well ive had really bad lower stomach cramps for like the past 4 weeks or so... i got my period like 2 weeks ago adn then i just got it agian last night-- im really scared bc i dont know what could be wrong--could this be some sorta probelm?? or should i just like not even worry about it (link)
Don't worry about it at all. Cramps are perfectly normal whether you have them during or before your period. If they're unbearably bad, go to a doctor.

okay.. i was talking to my friend yesterday and she told me she thinks she might be pregnant.. At first i thought she was kidding but she was being serious. She said she doesn't want to tell anybody and would be too scared to get a pregnancy test or anything. She thinks she should be on birth control too. She's only 14! what can i do?.. Oh her boyfriend doesnt know she might be pregnant either :/ (link)
Tell her to take a home pregnancy test. Or, if it has been within 72 hours(I think), she can get emergency contraceptive from her doctor to keep her from becoming pregnant.

If she takes a test and is pregnant, she will have to take the responsibility and decide what to do. Don't try to give her your opinion, because if it turns out badly, she might blame you.

hope I was of some help.

Ugh I'm chinese..yeah yeah..the first thing that comes to mind are those tiny tiny eyes..whatever..but yeah i'm so insecure of myself.. is there anything i can do to make them look BIGGER?! pleaseeee..(don't say surgery!..im only like 13) but yeahh please help..here is my ratins system: (5)-great advice, (4)-ok advice but somewhat questionable :-\ (3)-about to fall off the curb kinda ok but useless advice, (2)-unhelpful and useless,(1)-if you critisize me or basically give useless advice..thanks in advance! (link)
First of all, you should try to love yourself no matter how you look. I know it's hard, I have things I hate about myself. And I happen to think that chinese people are adorable!

Anyway, if you're really set on making your eyes look better, try experimenting with different eye makeups. Try black or colored eyeliner, or a really light shimmery eyeshadow that accents your eyes all around, not just on the top lid.

I hope that's helpful.

i cant stop bitting my nails and my mom wont let me get acurlic is there anthing that will make them grow ffaster or make me stop bitting thx bunches! (link)
Try painting your nails or getting a manicure. If they look nice, you might not want to bite them. If that doesn't work, get a special nail polish thing that makes your nails taste bad so you won't want to bite them. If you can't use that or can't find it, you can also just put lotion or something that tastes bad but won't hurt your nails on them. don't worry about growing them out or getting fake nails until you stop biting them, however.

k so last year i was really obsessed with pink and i re-decorated my room so that it is all pink and like green (way more pink though) i really like the colors orange and yellow but my parents said that I can't paint my walls another color for at least 3 years! also i probably shouldn't get a different bed spread because for 3 years in a row i have gotten a new bed spread so i think it might be getting a little ridiculous! if you have any ideas of places to get good decorating stuff that is orange or yellow please tell me (and please be specific cause i rate really well!) thank you so much (link)
A cheap idea is to press and dry flowers and put them up on your walls and stuff. Also, maybe you can get a small wallpaper border of colors you like with a bit of pink so it can match. Maybe some decorative pillows of other colors would be nice, and you can also put up posters and pictures and other decorations to make it look different.

omg i just got braces like this morning and they are kind of sore..will anyone give me some advice on what to do and how to floss and all that stuff?? thanksss (link)
Gah I'm sorry. Braces SUCK! But you'll get used to them after time.

If your mouth is sore, take advil or tylenol or whatever, but don't try to baby your mouth by not eating solids. If you eat solid-ish stuff like bread at first, and then just normal food, your mouth will feel better much quicker.

As for flossing, you have to put the floss behind the section of wire, and then floss between the two teeth. you have to do this with every wire, and it's very annoying and time-consuming, but you only have to do it once a day, thank goodness. Try to brush three times a day, however. Brush at an angle so the bristles get behing the wires, too.

And just for future reference, chewy or sticky food isn't that bad for braces as long as you brush and floss soon after eating it so it doesn't get stuck. Hard food is more dangerous. I'm actually chewing gum as I type. :-)

I've never broken a bracket, and my friends who have have only done so on hard food that gets stuck over it, and then they bite down. So be careful with that.

Good luck with braces, and congrats in advance for your soon-to-be straight teeth!

I'm pretty sure that I have at least borderline obsessive-compulsive disorder, but where symptoms are listed, the requirements are kind of vague. If anyone who knows more about it could give me a hint as to my own state(severity, etc.), I'd appreciate it. I'll list some symptoms. Note that this if going to be rather long, even though I've cut out a lot of detail and examples.

Hand washing - I'm... fairly obsessed... with dirty-ness... if I touch something that I think might be dirty, then I wash my hands before touching anything clean and/or at the first opportunity. A year or so ago I counted myself as washing my hands ninety times in one day, and I'm sure that it's gotten significantly worse since then.

Arrangement - I like to arrange things that I'm looking at neatly. For example, yesterday I had six bittorrent windows open, and I arranged them in a perfect grid; the top left one's top left corner was exactly on the top left corner of the screen, and all the others were exactly aligned with it(no overlap or space whatsoever between edges, corners touching).

Counting - I'll count repetitive noises. Not all of them (not keystrokes, walking footsteps, etc.), but I'll always count stairs-steps and some other noises.

Perfectionism - but only in things I care about. Not really significant, but I've been known to spend hours on a minor detail of a bad drawing.

Paranoia - I worry that people may be watching me, and about hidden cameras and suchlike. I keep all my sensitive(for example, pirated) files in triple-encrypted archives with very long passwords and worry that the government might have a quantum computer, with which such a password could easily be broken.

Random **** - sometimes I'll feel compelled to do something, for example tapping my fingers in a pattern or sequence until I get it exactly right. A minute before I started writing this I selected some icons in an order. Then I worked out on paper how to work the sequence exactly backwards and did so because I needed to balance the select-ing to put my mind to rest. (link)
I've been diagnosed with OCD, and I have every one of those symptoms, along with others. I've always had a bit of these things, and recently it's gotten worse and worse. I went to therapy for it and did help a bit(We used a self-rating system and I went from a 1 to a 4). This really did help, and I would suggest going to some sort of private or group therapy.

I have a big eating disorder, and no, it's not anorexia.. it's the total oppsite. I'm addicted to food.. :( But mainly 1. Chocolate. I've lost alot of weight, but then I drastically gained it back because I just can't stop eating chocolate. It's weird, I have to have at least a peice of something chocolately every day, or else I don't want to eat because nothing seems appealing. I bought my boyfriend a ton of chocolates for our 1 year anniversary, but he left them at my house and doesn't want to get them untill this upcoming weekend... and my God i've eaten a ton of them. There's at least 300 chocolates in there, and i've eaten like 30. I can't stop eating. I just have completely no will power anymore, and I need some motivation. Someone please help me. I'm running out of solutions.

Liking chocolate is understandable. For the time being, tell yourself that these chocolates belong to your boyfriend and they're not yours to eat. That way, you won't eat any more of those.

The main thing you have to do is not let yourself be exposed to chocolate. Don't buy it, don't order anything chocolatey at restaurants, tell your friends not to give it to you or keep it in sight when you're around.

You might also want to

a) Find a substitute for chocolate. I know for sure there's some sort of chocolate-flavored gum out there. Chew it, maybe it actually tastes like chocolate. I'm not sure.
b)Think about getting some professional help. Talk to a psychiatrist or someone. Even just your regular doctor.

Tomorrow, I'm taking an AP test and all year long, I haven't paid any attention..so now I have to cram and review the whole book..It's so hard to stay concentrated because the subject is so boring..(Human Geography) I need tips on how to stay focused and the best way to study..pleaseeee! I'm in 9th grade and if I pass this test, I won't have to take it in college...any advice is greatly appriciated!

Do you have any friends in the class? Call them up and have them quiz you. If it's at all fun for you, you'll study better. Also, read over EVERYTHING once or twice and write down key points, and then study only key points. If there are extra little things, footnotes, or vocabulary words, think about those too, because your teacher's likely to use them.
