so i tried out for my first musical, actually my first anything, and i found out from some people that i was not a good singer at all. i think it was cause i was really nervous but i mostly think its just cause i dont sing good.well i always wnated to get a careerer in acting and theater like that. i just want advice/ your opinions about if i could still pursue my dream to be famous in theater even if i do sing horribly. because that same friend told me that i was amazing at acting. thanks!
well first i think its great that you have this dream to act, and you are obviously willing to go right out there and try and achieve that. before you get down on yourself i think you should first look at the positive side. its true that we all might have dreams that for one reason or another might be unattainable, but i wouldnt give up on your dream to act or be in musicals just yet. if your singing skills are not what you would like them to be, you might try getting some lessons. if you check your local paper a lot of times there are college students in music programs who are looking to help people with music lessons. you might want to give that a shot and see if your singing improves. and also, you dont have to sing to be a successful actor. if it turns out that you arent a great singer, you can still put your acting skills to good use, and from what your friend says it seems like those arent a problem for you at all. good luck, and dont stop dreaming!
