I am a recovering, 47 year old, alcoholic who's only been sober for 1 year. In the past year I have made alot of changes in my life. I have always known, but could not accept, that I am a lesbian. So my whole life I have lived a lie. That was the reason for my drinking. Now that I am sober, I have come to the conclusion that in order to stay sober, I have to accept this about myself and be honest with myself and those around me.
My question is, I am attracted to my best friend
(girlfriend that is). Should I tell her? She knows about my problem and has been there to support me all through it. My other problem is that she is straight. I am afraid to lose her friendship but lately it is all I can think of.

there are two ways this can go. but telling her might make things awkard with you and her.I know because I have told one of my really good friends I was attracted to her and she wouldnt talk to me for a week or 2. I am a guy and I am not gay so I don't know if its harder telling someone your attracted to them. (I always do it for fun)
The other way is to tell her because you can't control who you are attracted to. Well At least I can't. And if she is understanding than she'll understand ecspecially since she is your best friend, hoping that friendships are the same at my age in high school. good luck with your problem

Alright.... there is this guy that I wouldnt have sex with.. so now he is mad at me and is always calling me names... but I'm not going to stop going over to where he lives because that is my friends house.... the other night his cousin came up to me and got in my face so I pushed him on the ground.... he got back up in my face so I hit him.. now this guy thinks that he can nag at me whenever he wants and get aways with it because they told there mom and she got mad at me for it... and I forgot this guy grabbed my wrists and shoved me up against these bars.... but now I'm not allowed over at my friends house unless there mom is there.... well please help thanks ~ monkey girl~ (link)

Well I am not really sure how old you are probably older than me but I would say Don't tell their mom about their offer for sex unless it could be any danger to you. because that would make things worse. and I am guessing that they can't comeover either because well your not aloud over unless their mom is, so just try to ignore him? not the best advice but I ignore everyone that bothers me they eventually go away or stop.

Well I know that I am not a parent but I am a teenager and I have seen my friends parents go through a lot. A lot of what some of the people are posting may not be true. like how it was your fault? no its not, it is your sons fault and the 17 year old girls fault. He made that decision. and for every decision he makes their are consquences whether they may be good or bad. I know that whenever I do something wrong my parents take away a lot of stuff from me or yell at me but I have come to realized that they only love me and they want me to grow up and have a happy life. also your son is getting to the age where he has to make a larger variety of decisions now. I know I did. But guide him to the right path. if he wont listen make him. he may get mad at you but hey your a parent he'll eventually understand. Oh and about the 17 year old girl maybe you should have a talk with her parents about her activities. and trust was pretty much crushed. thats the best advice I can probably give to you at my age. -signed lying dreamer

whenever my friend talks to a guy i get really jelous.. its really wierd. and its only with her and nobody else. i don't get it. do i like have a crush on her or something or am i just a little protective?? help.

Well I woulld say you are a little jealous cause that is how I am with one of my friends which I found out I really like her. that sounded stupid but anyways yeah this one guy always talks to her and they have gone out like 5 times already and everytime he cheats on her it pisses me off. but anyways I would say you are jealous and might have a little crush

ok i like this boy name austin... alot. We are both 13 in the 7th grade. But when my friend told him i like him he smiled and said um i think shes too fast for me, meaning im willing to do more stuff. (not all the way or nething) but i want him to kno i wont force him into nething. but we barely talk any ideas on how i can talk to him without him thinking im weird or annoyin and maybehim givin me a chance. thanks so much

Well I am a boy and I think that you should just go up to him and start a conversation maybe have some fun. I know whenever a girl likes me or I like a girl I hate it cause I have no freakin' clue how to approach them without getting too nervous. but anyways I would just go up to him or smile at him in the hallway and talk or something. hope that helps

15/f--my boyfriend and i have been together for a long time but the other day i was at his house and his mom came upstairs and saw us coming out of his room (we were looking at yearbooks) and she freaked out and thinks we're having sex even though i'm not anywhere near ready to do that, and she won't even let us watch tv without someone else in the room. she used to like me a lot, how can i get her to trust me/us again?!?
