Hello, I'm GoddessofNight and I think that I'm pretty good at giving advice. People I know and don't know ask me for advice at my school. I think that I can give advice to younger teens. So, about me. I live in NY and I love music, reading, and writing. School comes easily to me most of the time, (as in, NOT MATH). I play viola and wish I could play guitar (getting lessons). I can speak some Italian since this is my upcoming third year learning it. So that's basically me. I don't know what more you want to know.

So I was walking this evening and I accidently stepped into some kerosene. I just shrug it off and keep walking with my jazz hands lookin' all cool when this guy runs by and yells "That building is on fire!" So I start running towards it all like "yeah, who's your hero now?" with my jazz hands, looking cool. I get next to the firy part and my shoes are on fire randomly. Now I'm on a laptop someone gave me. What should I do?! (link)

Get a big bucket of water, and stick your feet in. Make sure it's cold water. Or hose your feet down. Or get a fire extinguisher. Anyway works. Use some common sense.

what do i do if i by all the clothing i think is really cool...but when i were 'em at school they dont look so cool..... (link)

If you think they're cool when you buy them, then they are cool. But if you don't feel cool, you won't look cool. Just be yourself in your clothes, and that's the best it's going to get. You could try mixing and matching outfits, or accessories. I'm sure you look fine even if you may not think so.

I always seem to have dark circles under my eyes, always. I wear glasses so they're not that noticeable but I'd still rather not have them.
I get about 9 1/2 on school nights and a little more on the weekends so it shouldn't be solely lack of sleep.
Does anyone have any ideas why I've got them or how I could get rid of them? (link)

I don't know why you've got them, but the easiest way to get rid of them would be to cover them up. A little tiny bit of makeup could cover it up, I suppose. Or you could just leave them, since I"m sure they can't be THAT bad.

I have been talking with this guy online for over a year now. He only lives about an hour away but neither of us have met people from online so we've never met in person before. My parents are having a bonfire the weekend before Halloween and I've invited him. He's accepted the ivite but I've also arranged to meet him this weekend. I'm really nervous about it. We're really good friends right now and I guess I'm just worried that meeting in person will ruin that. The question I have is should I be worried? (link)

Yes, you should be worried. You have never met this person, you don't know who they could turn out to be. Go with an older friend, or sibling, or even parent and meet in a place in the public with many people around. Just in case it turns out to not be what you expected.

You just have to tell him. He will be disappointed, and maybe a little angry. But, it will be worse if you said yes to both of them, and had two dates, wouldn't it? And word travels around school fast, he could possibly know already. It would be better for you to tell him, then him find out from the GossipQueen.

Okay, there are a couple of guys that I like, and I've never had a boyfriend before (I'm a junior in high school). I keep getting hints from other people that they like me, but I just don't have any clue whether or not they like me, and I really am getting tired of trying to listen to people who have no clue what they're talking about when they say that someone likes me. Any suggestions on how I can figure it out for myself without asking them straight out or asking their friends or mine?

There really isn't a way to tell. Have your friends that are his friends ask. Or, you could spy on him yourself.... But, sometimes 'people' can be right. And also sometimes you KNOW if he likes you or not, it's like an instinct. Or compare the way he acts around you with others. If he acts different, he might just like you!
