All I think about non stop is the past and regrets over the past. All I keep thinking about is "I wish I had did this or I had done that" or "I wish I had talked to that person or that person" or "I wish I had participated in this or that activity". That is all I think about. Hell, next year from now, I will probably be thinking the same way about right now! how can I stop regretting over the past or longing for the past and focus on now? I just can't do it. I am 21 year old by the way (link)
Don't worry. I'm the same way, and I'm 13! The thing I do is just thinking about now, like what's going to happen in the future, like the day I get married or the day I finally go off to college to escape my middle-of-nowhere town. It is fine to remember things in the past like a good memory but we must not obsess over past events, especially bad ones since it may bring back bad vibes. Once, there was this boy I really liked and I never had the nerve to talk to him all year, and three days before the last day of that grade he talked to me and told me he was moving, and that he considered us friends. I didn't ask for his number, and he left the state and hasn't ever came back. I was depressed all summer long until my mom asked what was wrong and I told her about him, and she asked whether it mattered or not. Guess what I said after realizing that I had wasted my time for the past year or so? I said it didn't. And everything turned out fine for me, if you get this in your head, I'm pretty sure it will for you :D. Try that activity you always wanted to try, or a totally new one, meet new people, go into town at least once a week, be fearless!

If you were in a volcanic eruption, what are 10 things you would want to have with you and what are some safety tips? (link)
Okay. The first thing I'd to do is run into my car and drive away as fast as possible and try to beat all the traffic since everybody would be trying to get away from the volcano, you cannot survive a volcanic eruption since the ash/fumes and everything would kill you, and your home or shelter would be destroyed. Get away from the volcano, I know this and I live in the eastern US, where there is no volcanoes. My ten things would have to be:
1) A radio. Usually if there is going to be a volcanic eruption, there's usually an earthquake before and scientists usually will know if anything is wrong.
2) Food. You're going to be away from that area for a LONG time, anywhere from a few weeks to a few months to even a year or more. Just enough for a while, since you'll get more wherever you're going to away from the volcano.
3) Money. This is a no brainer, obviously. For gas, personal expenses, and more.
4)Water. It gets very hot in the area before/after the eruption.
5) Some clothes. Just clothes that protect your body parts but are still light.
6) My family.
7) First aid kit, a big one with more than Band-Aids and headache pills.
8) Music. To calm me down.
9) Something to contact other friends and family once we're at the place we want to escape to, so I can find out if they're safe. I'd bring my cell phone, and it's charger, other people may need to make a call or 911.
10) Important documents like birth certificate, Social Security, ect.

Getting away is the most important thing, as far as possible and at least three days before it is expected to erupt.

I'm afraid to drive. I fully admit that. The thought of handling this huge car terrifies me. Plus things like parallel parking and backing up? Forget it.
I don't even have my permit yet but I'm working on that since I don't need to actually get behind the wheel for that. I'm not really afraid as a passenger. I do notice that I usually constantly hold on to something while in the car with someone and I tense up when a car even remotely looks like it has a chance of hitting us.

Anyway, I can't live my life not knowing how to drive. I don't wanna be THAT person or THAT friend that always needs to be picked up and driven around. I can't work without being able to drive also.
I live in a small town out in the country, there are no taxis or buses. I NEED to drive but my fear keeps stopping me every time I get even a little bit motivated. How can I overcome this?

Also don't suggest a driving school. I nor my parents definitely don't have the money for that and I'm uncomfortable with the thought of other people that aren't my parents trying to teach me. (link)
You shouldn't be afraid of driving-after all, even I can drive, and I'm just thirteen. Think: if it really scares you that much and everything, you should sit down with maybe your Mom (since she is a girl too) and be like, "Oh Mom, I need to tell you somehting. I've been thinking ... and I just thought it might be cool if you taught me how to drive?"). And if you're parents say you can not drive, get a friend to teach you, a close one. That's what I did in the fifth grade. Or try. On Sunday afternoons or when you're not busy, get the keys of the car and hop in with somebody else (who knows how to drive) and ask them for pointers. Even learning how to put the keys in can help. Try. Just try. And one day, it might come to you.

Or you could just wait until they make self controlled cars.

Um, i am 13 and i want to dye my hair light brown, but i have not started my period yet. ( my original color is medium dark brown ) someone told me that if i dye my hair before i start my period, my hair could fall out. Will it really fall out, or is it a myth? Please help! (link)
I have not had my period yet either, and I've given myself some blonde highlights, and my original hair color is medium light brown. It just depends on who does your hair, whether you do it or a family member or maybe a salonist or whatever, and your hair type (like straight, curly, stringy, wavy, frizzy ...). I don't hair will fall out, but try asking a doctor.

So, I am a HUGE fan of Lady Gaga. I love to listen to her. The other day, my mom pulled me aside and told me she might ban me from listening to her because I am "obsessing" over her. I have tried to convince her she is good, but she says that she is evil and a horrible person. I respect Lady Gaga so much, and it hurts me to hear what she says about her. I am 14 and really want some help. I just want my mom to accept that I really like Lady Gaga. (link)
Same with me! I'm surprised I got tickets to her concert in my area in two months. So think of why your mom might not like you listening to Gaga. So

1) The 'stories' on the tabloids like how Gaga is a man or how she's lesbian or bisexual or whatever.
2) Her style of music. Lady Gaga has that 'I don't care what you say about me AT ALL' sort of thing, and maybe your mom might think you would become a rebel and might start running away.
3) She just doesn't like her. Her clothes, I mean.
