First, just make sure you feel as if you're ready to 'further the relationship physically'. Do it for your own experience, not his.
Second, there's no need to stress or embarrassed, the guy usually does all the work. And don't get embarrassed to ask him about it. If your still unsure wear a skirt.

Talking to a guy who knows you like him and when you're shy can be quite complicated. I know its hard but you need to overcome your fear.
Asking him if he's going to the dance or not doesn't make you weird, you're just curious. When asking him this make sure you two are having a casual conversation. Make sure in the middle of the conversation so you don't look desperate. If he says yes ask him casually as though you don't really care what he answers if he wants to go with you or not if you're up to doing it. But if he says he's not going to the dance ask him why and try to persuade him to go a bit. But don't make it sound like you want need him to come or anything.

Talking to a guy you like can get pretty awkward. But that is a fear you need to overcome.
Since you're trying to get to know him better discuss modern day topics such as music, movies, school, parties etc. While you talking why not flirt a little. Also when you're beginning to talk don't start a topic randomly in the conversation, make it relate to what you're talking about or what you two are doing. Also if you want a love relationship with him DO NOT GET TO CLOSE. I know it sounds weird but if you two become really close like best friends he'll probably won't want to ruin the friendship you two have. But if you do become bestfriends then his girl friend you two are most likely to break up and then you two are most likely to ever talk to each again.

Getting a girl friend can be quite easy if you just know how to treat girls.
First off - Attitude towards women
Girls love guys who ARE NOT sleazy. They don't care about how many girl friends you have had or how much 'experience' have. They care if you're sweet, nice, considerate, respectful and yourself. You also got to be interested in knowing what they like or at least act like you do.
Second - Meeting girls
If you go to a co-ed school helps to getting a girl friend. If not try asking a friend to hook you up or if you're not up to a blind date how bout going to parties. You could even join a outside of school co-ed activity such as baseball or something. Or ask girls you don't know but see them at the mall out or something.
Lastly - Asking them out
Asking a girl out is quite nerve-racking sometimes scary but you have to over come this fear. If its a girl you know start a casual, comfortable conversation like music or something. Then calmly ask for there phone number or ask them out. Be sure to not pop up the question to early in the conversation. Also when asking don't sound nervous, look away, fiddle with fingers. You got to show confidence but at the same time be cool about it as though you've done this stuff all before.
However, if you don't know this girl and just trying to get the random, mysterious, cute girl's phone number you need to start up a small conversation. Try using an excuse to talk to her like 'Excuse me? Wait, sorry I thought you were my friend... But anyway I'm (whoever you are) and you are?' Then once you find out her name talk about something not random like just say she's holding an iPod be like 'You like music, I listen to rock' Or something then once she answers back ending the conversation in silence then ask the question.
Tips
*DO NOT get to clingy or to distant
*DO NOT ask her whether or not she's going to go 'far' with you. She'll tell you when she's ready
*Be sure to buy her alot of things
*DO NOT talk bad about her friends or family

A guy told me he likes me, but he has a girlfriend. I don't think she knows that he likes me because they are still going out. My friends all think I hate him, because at first I actually did until I realized I like him. I don't want to tell them because that would be another problem to deal with because I have bad stuff going on with my friends, and if I told them they would rub it in and probably call me a liar because I used to think he was a whore. If I tell my mom she'll rub it in and tell the whole family. This guy is a year younger and a grade lower than me. His girlfriend and I are 13 and in the same grade and he is only 12. He is kind to me but nice to his girlfriend in a sexual way at times, but she doesn't seem to mind his behavior. I'm not sure what his behavior means, but I like him anyway. I think his girlfriend should know that he is flirting with me and that I am trying not to flirt with him, but I can only control my speech,not what's on my face. I'm too scared to talk to her or him about it, because everyone will be mad. I'm too scared to talk to my friends because I don't know which ones are real. Who should I talk to? Should I deal with it when I've figured things out with my friends? but that could take a year, and events probably won't allow me to wait that long to do something. If I need to talk to him, her or someone else, how do I tell them? What kind of person should I tell? Am I worried for nothing? Is this all really stupid because we're so young?If none of these questions can lead to advice or answers, please just help in whatever way possible. (link)

Wow you sound really stressed but first thing is you need to do is calm yourself and think this situation thoroughly.
I think you should tell the guy you like that he needs to be honest with his girlfriend. Make him tell her that he likes you, I mean she'll be more heart broken later on if she doesn't hear about it also people will be mad for not telling her in the first place. And if he doesn't do it you should. Chicks have to stick together. Then once hes single and everyone's over the whole thing tell him how you really feel which should be 1-2 weeks after.
If you really need someone to talk to tell a really close friend and tell them how serious this whole thing is to you. One who is very understanding and mature will sure not rub it in to you. Or try family, maybe not your mother but you could try a cousin or sibling. Or you could get a diary, at least that way you won't get given any criticism about what you're doing.
Lastly remember you are still young and have your whole life a head of you. You have PLENTY of time for love in life. For now I suggest having a good time cruising with friends because most boys especially around your age are quite sleazy. You could even end up heart broken and have much regret for the rest of your life.

Well, I like this guy in my middle school whos really nice, funny, and hot. I told one of my friends, who likes someone else, and she said that he's been following her around lately. I've seen it too, and its kinda weird. Like once she was at her locker, and he just kinda stood there doing nothing, and then when she went back to the classroom he was right behind her. and she says he says stupid stuff to her in literacy, and when him and other kid play paper football, it usually hits her (purpose or not on purpose?) i dunno but im getting a little jealous.. could it be that he likes her? hes nice to me too, and hes kinda popular, so i dunno. maybe im just overanalyzing or something. HELP!

Well sorry to break it to you but it sort of sounds like he likes your friend. But don't worry there are many ways to flirt. I guy loves pretty girls but not dumb. Smart but not nerdy, sporty, basically a bit of everything. But the most guys love is being yourself don't make yourself someone your not.

Well try not to be TO ATTACHED. When guys do that it pisses girls off causing them to break up. Try to impress her, or just talk to her (hopefully your not that shy). And like on special days (e.g. bday, valentine etc.) give her a rose or something you know romantic. Then try to ask her out BUT DON'T GET TO ATTACHED.

Well I think you should discuss this situatiob with them. Ask them why they've been talking bout you behind your back or why rag on you. At first you might think this idea is stupid but if you do use it, it will work. Trust me something like this has happened to me too.
