Ok. I am going to buy a Guinea Pig and i need to find some information on them! I need to prove to my parents that i can do it but i think tey do want me to have one. So, can all of yall help me find good websites? please. And i have already tried typing search things at Yahoo and everywhere else! Please send me the link!!!!!!

Having a pet is a big responsibility, so make sure you have the time to dedicate to a guinea pig before you get one! If at all possible, look into your local shelters or rescues to find your guinea pig rather than buying from a pet store; there are many pigs who need new homes out there, and the pigs at pet stores are often mistreated and unhealthy.
As far as some websites, here are a few great resources. I hate to say it, but DO NOT trust the information given to you buy pet store employees; for the most part they do not give out correct information and will often recommend products that may be unhealthy for your pet simply to sell those products.

I bought a pet rat a few days ago. I've kept hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs but never a rat before. We're getting on well and she's sitting on my desk as I type this. She seems healthy -- shiny thick coat, bright eyes, clean tail, eats plentifully -- but she sneezes an awful lot. Is it just dust or might she be sick? Incidentally, her cage bedding is recycled paper, not wood shavings.
Your rat may have a respiratory infection. This is especially common in animals coming from a pet store since they are housed with other animals and sometimes live in poor conditions. You should take her to a vet to get checked out.
If that's not the problem, she may be allergic to the bedding you have used, so try another type to rule that out. If that doesn't help, it may be seasonal allergies (pets get them too!) Good luck.

I have a 2 year old guinea pig who is white and SO cute. He stinks up my whole bedroom and my mom wants to get rid of him. I love him and I just wanted to know if there was any special cages that they have or odor sprays. Also how much they cost. Thanks a bunch!
I also have cavies, and I know they can get stinky at times :) Try using a different type of bedding. Yesterday's News, Carefresh, and other types of bedding absorb odors differently so it might help to experiment.
Another method you can use is fleece and towels, which is the method I use. Intead of loose bedding or shavings, layer two to three 100% cotton bath towels at the bottom of the cage, then place one layer of polyester fleece fabric on top. The fleece will wick away any moisture which will absorb into the towels. I have had less odor problems with this method. Sweep out any piggie poos when necessary, and at least once weekly wash the whole thing in hot water with vinegar to disinfect and kill the odors. You can find fleece remnants for cheap at the craft store, and towels at the thrift store (be sure to prewash everything first!) This method saves a lot of money as far as bedding costs and might work out better for you.
