advice
Ok, I have an average rating of 5 on my advice column, and I've been rated 18 times. Not saying that I mind, but you always see people on here being accused of "sugar-coating" the advice they give. I personally always despised sugarcoaters, but this got me thinking, what if I am one? In real life, I am a superduper nice person, sometimes I let people walk all over me, so I guess it would make sense if I am a little bit too nice when giving advice.
This has really been bothering me. I am not sure what to do, but I don't really have the heart to bitch at someone (sorry for the language), but at the same time I don't want to be considered a sugarcoater. I want my ratings to be fair and not high because I was being nice, but high because I gave good advice.
Any feedback about this would be very much appreciated =)
I guess if you know you're not being a "sugarcoater" than you're absolutely fine. Just answer questions and give the best advice you can. Don't let other people on this site guide your advice giving. I'm sure you're fine.
