Q: I'm a 17 year old manle, and I have my mood changes just like every1 else, but it seems when i get depressed...it really hits me. LAtely it's hit be pretty hard becos it just appears the everything i do or everyone i come in contact with i just screw up, and i often have this feeling like i just want to get away from it all, just...go somewhere and leave my problems. Are these just normal feelings? and does anyone have any ideas for getting out of these moods? I have no thoughts of suicide or anything, I'm not like that, but i just have these terrible feelings and i just want to get away. someone please give me adive.

It is definitely normal and you're not alone. It's a rough time in life so it's normal to have mood swings and depression. Go out with your friends and do something fun when you feel down. Find something you love doing that will cheer you up. Try keeping a journal to get your feelings out. Online journals are great because they're not too "girly" or anything and you can even have a little community with your friends. I love my livejournal because I can go in and just write about EVERYthing that's bothering me, and usually just doing that makes me feel alot better! So good luck and don't worry!

Q: ok i'm kinda uncomfortable but i've been wondering...is it ok for me to want a vibrator?? cuz i've always wondered if they are more pleasurable and where can I get one? also--i'd prolly be WAAY too embarrassed to go buy one myself...is there anything i could use as a substitute?? yes it is definitely ok for you to want one. most girls i know do, and its well worth it. you can order some off the internet, but the best place to get them is at adult shops. you usually have to be 18 to go in there though. but dont be embarassed because the people that work there have seen it ALL.
as for a substitute, maybe you could buy a mini massager or something. that might be easier for you to buy. hope i helped!

water does nothing to prevent pregnancy or stds. you still run the same risks as having sex without a condom on dry land.

Q: Does anyone know of any side effects of the Birth Control Patch? The pill makes me sick, the shot made me gain 50 pounds and took away the urge, and I really want something that is low maintenance.

i've never used the patch, but my friend has it and she didnt have any side effects. the ones the doctor told her about though were similar to the pill.
maybe your doctor could try to prescribe a different pill for you. my friend and i were both on the same one and i had no side effects, but it made her really sick to her stomach so she tried about 3 different types until she found one that worked for her.

im assuming you're asking about sex. and i'm sorry but if you can't say the word, chances are you're nowhere near ready to be having it. 13 is so so young, and sex brings about a whole world of risks and responsibilities that you shouldnt have to deal with yet. honestly, if you're questioning if you're ready then i'd say no you're not. no one can tell you when to have sex. its a decision that's purely up to you. please just think about all the possible consequences before you make any decisions in the heat of the moment. i know you may think nothing bad can happen, but just seriously think about it.
