Q: lately i have not been able to sleep and i have been waking up in the middle of the night..it never happens to me...my mom said it could be becasue i am worried a about somethine...but i told her i wasn't...the truth is i am...my dad past away when i was 13...ever since i have been very afraid to get close to anyone...and it been 3 years...aroudn christmas time i meet a guy named christian he is a few years younger than me..(14)...and he is my best friend..we tell each other everything...he keeps talking about how when he turns 16 he is running away...and he said i could come with...but i told him i would not go..iw ant to finish high school and go to college!!!!! i am afraid i am going to lose him..i think that si why i can't sleep at night!!!what should i do..please help!

have a talk with christian and talk about this. tell him what you think about it and that you're afraid to lose him, but don't sound too desperate. thinking too much can cause one to be unable to sleep at night, so if you can get everything out in the open and get some answers to those questions of yours, you should be getting some sleep and some answers. stay strong girl! best of wishes to you! Q: ok, well..theres this boy that i like and i dont know if he likes me, we used to lived next to each other and we used to hang out EVERYDAY but, thne he move and now i only see him at school, but we talk on the computer and we call each other reguarly, and he acts normal around me and when someone else is there with us he acts different. He had a girlfriend, but my friend told him that I liked him and the next day he broke up with her, my friend says he likes me, but i dont know, cause it's been a week since he broke up with her and he hasn't asked or acted like he likes me, and the day he bokre up with her, he said "so your going out with 'blahh' and i said wat? and he said wrong person, sorry...does that mean anytything?! does he like me?

pretty safe to say he does like you (: things are always in a jumble after a breakup. give him some time to settle in & plan out what he wants to do. it might be a while until he asks out another girl (you), but you never know. just be prepared for anything! don't forget to keep in touch with him and if you want to find out if he really likes you, start up a casual conversation and ease in the subject. don't be so direct and to the point, but get your point across. best wishes to you! try talking it out with your best friend. let her know what you think about the situation. you might want to be there for her because the "after breakup" times are always hard. if you want to go on a double-date, you could, but it's best if you let your best friend know if you decide to go. if you haven't made your decision yet, do talk with your best friend. it's better to get everything out and be totally honest with each other, than to keep secrets and have each other find out later by some other source. personally, i would give it some time before she settles in & that'll do! best wishes! Q: My best friend (who is 15) is dating my younger brother (who is also 15). Sometimes I feel left out because I'm 18... But I just found out that my brother had sex with her. try talking about this situation with your best friend first. let your best friend know that you're concerned with the situation and discuss what you all should do. when you bring up the subject, she might not know how you found out and if you've already told other people. reassure her that you haven't and that she's the first you're sharing the knowledge of what happened. figure out what the best thing to do is and try to work it out. it might be hard to bring up the topic with her, but try to find the right time and everything will follow along. hope everything works out for the best for all of you! Q: Okay, let's get right down to it, I feel like I don't have any friends. I'm constantly comparing the amount of friends I have to the amount of friends other people have. For some reason, I always have less, and it is really starting to bother me. Also, I don't have that many guy friends that are my age and stuff (I'm a girl and I'm 14). I probably have about 10 good friends but I feel like I should have more. Is that an okay number, am I just over paraniod, or do I really not have that many friends at all? Should I make new friends and how? And pleas edon't suggest more actvities because I'm wicked busy during the school year.
By the way, I often suffer from lonlieness and depression.

considering the fact that you're already busy during the school year! (and i applaud you for that - way to be involved!) people would LOVE to have 10 good friends in their lives. you don't have to compare the amount of friends other people have. when you're at your activities, try to be more outgoing and make it your goal to get to know some people, start a friendly conversation here and there. when school starts, make some friends with a couple classmates. having 10 good friends is fabulous! (: but you can always get out there & make new ones! making new friends isn't easy, everyone knows that, all you have to do is don't think about what they'll think of you and just be yourself! the friends you make should like you for being you (: i'm sure you'll have a LOT of friends! on the other hand, your suffering from loneliness and depression - during the weekends or whenever you're not busy, call up your friends and see if they want to hang out. for me, sometimes i make online friends (i.e.: myspace, xanga, etc.) they could be living in a different state or a different country! but it's okay, just keep in touch here and there. and hey! i'll be your friend =] feel free to IM me or email me or anything. i'll be glad to have you as a friend (: remember, smile! =]

Q: my best friend gets rly jealous when guys think im hott. sometimes, she even tries to stop me from evr talking to them cuz shes jealous that they dont think shes hott, and she gets mad at me. if you haven't already tried talking to her about this, you should. and when you do, make sure you make her FEEL better about herself. if i was you, i would tell her that the friendship we have is more important that what guys think. have her tell you why she's been acting this way, but don't be too pushy. talking it out and making sure all the misunderstandings are cleared up should fix the problem (: and your friendship will be stronger than ever!

Q: When i was a kid in grade sckool hanging out with girls was pretty cool.Not that i "liked-liked" them or anything, i just liked the company.Now i go to an all guy's school for high school and seeing guys everywhere is a drag.I keep in touch with my old friends but most of them are busy.What can i do to balance my everyday life between hanging out with guys and girls.

your guy friends are your school should have a couple girl friends. get to know them and plan a "coed" party and meet new people. try to get to know everyone and you can introduce your girl friends too!

mm well, you can't make a guy like you. but hell, who says you can't try? always try to get the know the guy and see what they're like. (i.e.: their personality, interests, hobbies, etc.) try to hang out with him in groups because it's much more fun in groups and there most definitely will not be those long awkward silences. every now and then, try to hook up a conversation and see what interests him. (make sure you seem interested to, but don't fake it, unless ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY) don't act too "manly" and NEVER be too clingy or needy in any way. yknow, the old-fashioned "hard to get" is always still in the ballgame. but remember, don't get upset if the guy doesn't like you, i mean, if you think about it. there really IS plenty of fish in the sea. best of luck!
