Q: well i met my best friend cici this year and we were like unseperatable and we always had the best times together. but there was this girl who doesnt like me and never really did and she was my cicis friend. her name was emily. everytime i went to talk to cici emily would like roll her eyes. and if she was talking to cici at that time and i went up she would leave or say something and interupt. emily was always trying to be best friends with cici and now they are best friends! and cici like whenever we are together she tells me that we should hang out more cause she misses me and its all emilys fault that we never hang out cause she always wants to do sometime with cici. and cici is like tired of her cause she is constently trying to get her attention. what do i do. do i tell cici that i miss her and im tired of emily always trying to take her away or what?
im sorry this is long but i need help i really do.

i think you most deffinitley should talk to cici.
afterall, if she has been expressing to you how much she misses hanging out with you and how this girl emily is getting on her nerves, then obviously she is not as happy having emily as her best friend.
it sounds like you and cici have a really great friendship, and you dont want this to be ruined on a girl who would love nothing more then for your friendship with cici to be destroyed.
by giving into this, you're giving emily exactly what she wants.
but you should talk to cici. trust me. i was in a similar situation and i was so crushed by it that i just didn't do anything about it and now me and my old best friend havn't talked in about a year. if i had said something sooner we would probably still be friends. so you should really talk to her before it becomes too late.

oh boy, the egotistical friend... always fun!
yes, i have one of those. and believe me, i know it can be so difficult at times! In a situation like this I think you really need to look at your frienship with this girl and try to find the qualities in her that made you become her friend in the first place. if you find there are very many, then you should just learn to deal with her egotism, as i have with mine. however, is she is the type to constantly put others down, and has never offered much to your friendship, then it is time to let this girl know that you're tired of the way she's acting and if she can't stop, at least around you, then you will have to take a break from the friendship.
also, it could be that your friend has no idea she's acting this way. maybe if you brough it up (in a way that won't cause a fight!) she may realize how she's been acting and she'll stop.
Also, there must be a reason she thinks you're her best friend. could it be that you act as though she's your best friend while you're around her and then become annoyed with her when you think about the way she behaves and then don't consider her your best friend?
either way, good luck with this. i wouldn't dump her all-together. i would talk to her and go from there.
