your actually in the top 10 percentile
you make a proportion
77/864 = some number/100
multiply 77 by 100
get 7700
divide 7700 by 864 and get something like 8.91
and its easy to look at if you see that if there is 864 people than the top 86 are the top 10 percent and your 77 i hope that helped!

Has anyone ever participated in an LD debate? I'm supposed to debate this Friday and I've never debated in an LD. The only debate I've been in is a CX debate. I know they aren't the same but I was just wondering if anyone had any pointers on how to win? Personal experiences would be great! (link)

ok so i kno its friday night and ur already at your tournament im in debate this is my first year and ive done cx ld and congress basically cx is very stressful and ld is more laid back and formal like you will realize after today. you have more time between rounds which is nice b/c ur less stressed out. I forget what the new topic is but i know the old one was about eminant domain and private enterprise basically dont drop things that will hurt you answer questions as well as possible and persuade the judge as much as you can dont be an ass b/c thats kinda how you lose its a hard change from cx to ld but you figure out which you like better after you try ld i hope your tourh went well!

I have a problem. With my jansport backpack, I have 7 folders and notebooks, and I cant seem to fit all of them. The backpack is pretty good sized, but I mean, I can only fit my binder (medium sized),7 folders, and like, 3 100 pg notebooks. What should I do? I mean, dont just tell me to try to fit everything in there and then try to zip it. Believe me, I tried that. So..what should I do? Is there anything I can do?? (link)

put some of it in your locker if you have a locker or get some 70 paged notebooks and use those using new ones whenever you run out of paper if theres a folder and a notebook you dont use everyday then keep it at home or in your locker to have on hand only for when you need it

I'm 14/f and I know I should be reading advanced books because I'm in 11th grade Honors english even though I'm a freshman. And, generally, I do. But a lot of the time I like to read books that are, well, sappy romance novels. Like the book version of soap operas. Big time guilty pleasure!!! I feel so guuuuuuuilty about it. It's like cheap candy, tasty to eat only not very nourishing, but it's a book. And since my family is big on reading "advanced literature" and my mom would freak out if she knew I was reading them, and I don't know whether it's ok for a person of my level of reading to be reading these!? I know it sounds like I'm being a snobby bitch that needs to be reassured of her own level but I'm not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

theres nothing wrong with reading romance novels my mom did that for about a year and i thought it was kinda funny if its something you enjoy dont give it up just find a new version of it usually there are alot of authors writing teen books about love dating a deciept if you havent try reading some books that are about romances between teens youll be able to relate and it may be a bit more satisfying!hope i helped!
