Okay, here's the deal: for my socials project, our teacher asked us to pick a section in the book and do a presentation on it. I picked a section that describes how war started in Vietnam, and how the soldiers got enlisted and about the suffering, and the nurses i.e. He does not, though, want us to take the easy way out and use a board with pictures on it to seal the project. We may use visuals, and get this - we have to be a character in that time period. So I have to be someone in the 60s. I have a few ideas - to be a nurse recalling the event with pictures [maybe powerpoint], or a reporter making a documentary about it. Does anyone have any ideas? Anything would help, and its good if you speak from experience too.

ok, i know this might sound weird, but you need to forget about how your grades are right now. they'll come up. they just will. just make sure you do all your homework and study just a little each night for every class, and more the night before a test.
and just a word to the wise, the more you freak, the worse you'll feel and it won't reflect well on your school work. destress!

im 16 in high school this year we had a new history teacher.im dislexic and he always picks on me about it and sends me out of every lesson since september.for reasons that are pathetic like asking questions too loudly.on friday he sent me out of the lesson within 3 minutes.i dont know what to do,i like the subject its interesting but im thinking of dropping it because of the teacher.what shall i do?shall i drop it?pleese reply asap

just write what you feel, try to keep a syllabic pattern with each line, and if you want, you can try rhyming. i don't really know how to help bc i dunno what the prompt is.. sorry if it wasn't helpful enough

ok... our school is one of 2 high schools in the district... and srry if this is long.. but.. the other one had a "silently loud" protest the other day b/c the principle said they couldn't wear white, black, or pink t-shirts anymore... and the guys had to cut their hair... and the no one can wear black makeup....... like eyeshadow, lipstick, etc..... and now they wanna do that to our school... we are havin a protest on monday and everyone.. well.. mostly everyone.. is wearin black... everything black...... is there any other way to get them to realize that we mean buisness.???? thnx much.... i rate.. a jelly necklace isn't a jelly bracelet, so you could argue that point, and if they say that you still need to take it off, flat out tell them that you're obviously wearing the cross for religious purposes, not because you want someone to snap it and have sex with them.
they shouldn't be able to dictate which color of clothing you're allowed to wear, so tell them that by wearing pink/black/white it's a statement of your individuality and what not. if they still tell you it's wrong, call your parents on it...
or better yet and attorney.
to ban half the colors everyone owns is ridiculous, and i'm sure an lawyer in town would take the case
